  1. You believe Bloggers as sources? Say it ain't so! The homophobic gay pedophile WAS a Republican. What exactly is your definition of pedophile?
  2. Political discourse seems to be the most polemic in recent history. The extremists are driving the dialogue. Personally, I think those on the left are an overly emotional lot, prone hysterical exagerations, i.e. Fascist Regime, our civil rights are (all) being taken away, Ware for oil, chickenhawk chickenhawk chickenhawk, they knew he was a pedophile and did nothing! Of course, the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter do their part to fan the flames of uncooperative hostility.
  3. Touche' for Billvon. He returns my shot with a smashing forehand. While I think what Drudge said is pretty assinine, it's not that shocking considering the territory.
  4. Matt Drudge made that claim. Got a source? Or do you just take blogger lefty rants as fact?
  5. You left out "When he arrvied at the rendezvous location, police took him into custody." It's kind of a key detail.
  6. Vince Foster Dan Rostenkowski White House Coffees and Lincoln Bedroom sales Chinagate Walter R. Tucker Jim Traficant Robert Torricelli William Jefferson The list is 50 or more names long and has been debunked in so many ways. Are you saying Ken Starr would uncover the great BJ debacle, but overlook so many alleged murders? Paaalleeeeeeeeesse Debunked? It seems you missed my (seemingly obvious) point.

  8. He's been taking notes from the Party of Victimology... It's not my fault... I came from a dysfunctional family... I was abused as a child... there's a vast right/left-wing conspiracy out to get me... Honest... I ran out of gas. I, I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts. IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD.
  9. I think part of the problem is how we have been handling immigrant students (and immigrants in general) for the last 15-20 years. There are numerous government edicts (sorry for the strong term) requiring schools, government agencies and private businesses to accommodate people who don't speak English. Spanish drivers license exams. Doctors (who recieve medicare payments) are required to provide translators for any and everyone. This is a political football that was far to the left. This example is a case of it swinging too far to the right.
  10. But they both involve how we, as a society, treat our children. On the one hand, these pages are poor defenseless children, and on the other, those girls are mature enough to make a major decision on their own.
  11. Not to take anything away from how Foley should be treated/prosecuted but.... I can't help but wonder why those, who are the most outraged about someone sending dirty messages to minors (who were savy enough to land a spot in the Congressional Page program) are the same people who think it's okay for minors to get abortions without parental notification.
  12. Their ranks? Mark Foley is no longer a member of Congress. This Murtha/Abscam business is new to me. I wonder why the House didn't take some kind of action against him back in 1980. It seems like everyone in Congress has a "go along to get along" mentality... and no one is going to expose your dirty laundry unless you really screw up (like Foley) or you really stick it to the power structure.
  13. You wouldn't like it. It would be riddled with well referenced facts and assertions. The dialog would be low key, well thought out and delivered in a manner that allowed for the development of a meaningful, logical ratiocination. That sounds just like Democratic Underground.
  14. For those ultra liberals, needing a forum of like minded individuals - go to www.democraticunderground.com That place sets the standard for narrow-minded intolerance. It's interesting to watch moderate leaning liberals try to give a reasoned take on hot button issues. The zealots run them off in short order. I love the multi-cultural "let's embrace all cultures"... "I hate all those #$^(% right-wingers!!! especially the bible-thumping nutjobs!!!" mindset.
  15. Amen to that. But do you think it is going to last??? I dont Why? Can you give examples of of First Amendment rights being taken away?... except that whole business about Congress shall make no law prohibiting the free exercise of religion.
  16. If find it amusing that so many people love to wrap themselves in the First Amendment (Free Speech, Public redress of grievances, etc.) when it comes to causes they support, but resort to name calling and dishonest stereotypes when it comes to causes/changes they dislike. First Amendment - it's for everybody.
  17. We have about 5 million students in each grade, in this country. I'm guessing anyone who isn't butting heads with their school's thug has less than a 1 in a million chance of getting shot in school. Ain't the media grand. Exploit the emotions. Ignore the statistical realities. Anyone know how many schools killings (like this) we've had since Columbine?
  18. I've been pissed at 7-11 ever since they quit selling Playboy. Guess this makes up for it.
  19. Well, Lincoln got his... I'm not sure about other US Presidents who sent young men to their deaths.
  20. Speaking of lousy Presidents - How about Jimmy Carter? Iranian Hostage Crisis Energy Crisis 12% Inflation 21% Prime Interest Rate But he did boycott the 1980 Olympics. That was a real show of strength. Twenty-five years later, he's doing a fine job of undermining the US, on the international stage.
  21. I'm not just now getting it, it's a hotbed issue so I'm bringing up that both parties do it, but for different reasons. The Dems like to be bleeding hearts, the Repubs like to exploit labor. Either way, they both do it. I don;t see Repubs addressing that issue. Are you saying Republicans are claiming they've never supported amnesty? Sounds like you're attaching stereotypical labels to a current issue, even though they don't apply. Or did I miss where whole amnesty effort is being labelled as a strictly Democratic cause? You're right, now explain who pardoned Tokyo Rose. I doubt you know so do research (hint: start at Ford - the same guy who pardoned Nixon). BTW, Reagan pardoned about as many as Clinton, but teh Bush's haven;t pardoned many. I believe that Bush will pardon the Enron/Worldcom/etc guys as he leaves office, which is why that one turd (forgot his name) just checked into prison for 25 years. If he thought he would have to serve it all he would abscond or create his death like Lay. Funny thing about Iva Toguri D'Aquino aka Tokyo Rose - It turns out she never did anything wrong. But she got on Walter Winchell's sh&t list, which resulted in the public demanding "justice". During her trial, American POWs testified that they liked her and that she never said any of the negative stuff, as claimed by our military. She was a scapegoat. Gerald Ford's pardon was quite just. Love how you compare the number of pardons - Clinton vs. Reagan - while conveniently overlooking my point, which was Clinton pardoned a known drug trafficker and a man who illegally made oil deals with Iran during the hostage crisis. Real scum.
  22. Just because you're getting information 10, 20 years after the fact, that doesn't mean the rest of us are equally slow. And one other thing - there's a big difference between laws that are enacted by Congress that affect millions (allowing a few baddies to slip through the cracks) and individual pardons of criminals like Carlos Vignali and Marc Rich.
