I thought the military jumps last year with the edited video from Floaty Mike were impressive. Everytime I watch the video I get teary eyed. Just a thought, does anyone want to send it into some venue like the local or national news? I would love to be a part of this year's 9/11 jumps. Maybe some of us non-military folks could create 911 in the air in red, white, and blue. Let me know if you're interested. Also, if we're having a cookout the 9th, count Keith and I in. I'm so excited and awed by Jack's recovery so far. I was thrilled to read that he's been walking. He has such a strong will and spirit. The laser can trip you up, but usually it will only take two trys. My parents had one of those lasers and it was thigh height, so some Mission Impossible skills had to come into play. Thanks again Guido. Yeah we never saw the remote directions, but I don't think we messed anything up . . . although . . . Oooooh, was there a high-speed chase on the streets of Seven Lakes? That would've rocked! Well, almost . . . but the Fockers came to his rescue. LJ blew by before the old security guard even could get up out of his chair. He comes out shaking his head and looking in LJ's direction . . . it was priceless.

Hey everyone. We went to see Jack at WakeMed this afternoon. I was glad that the staff wasn't adamant about the two visitors per ICU patient policy. Jack's friend Frank was there from Atlanta, and will be out at the DZ this weekend extending some help if needed. He's a very nice guy and has been by Jack's side. Renfro, Peter B. & Michelle, Eric Miller, and myself & Keith were all crammed into his room. He was really happy to have the company. Like Dawn said, his surgery is tomorrow and will last approx. 7 hours. According to Jack they'll be removing T12 and rebuilding it by connecting T11 to L1 with some titanium rods. Thank you Dawn for offering to be there by his side tomorrow. Please call me if you want company or if you need anything. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Tail Focker and Focker from Behind, I hope you both finished your papers/projects for class. I remember pulling those all-nighters back in the day. At least the end is in sight . . . and actually for Eric the very end of school is officially today. Congratulations!!!!!!!!! Good luck finding a j.o.b., which by the way stands for "just over broke." What are you going to do with all your free time?! I had another wonderful day of work today, especially dealing with the bomb threat that was called in early this morning, and evacuating my classes in the pouring rain to a building down the street. It's been such an exciting year let me tell you. Another event to add to the list . . . I am ready to jump this weekend! The point, outer and inner fockers will be out on Saturday freeflying and jumping with the newer jumpers. Yo yo! Outer Focker here . . . I just had to sign on to say a special thank you to our "Focker from Behind" the one and only UNC Eric for being an amazing camera flyer!! We are so lucky to have you! Thanks for staying at Raeford the extra day when the meet was rescheduled. We appreciate you so much! Also I wanted to say congratulations to "da bears", and "crazy Ivan" (or what should be "crazy Yev.") on their accomplishments this past weekend. I still can't get over the fact that there was a jumpoff, but Yev. had already started drinking so his team couldn't compete!!! I want to say thanks to all of the FocKers for being a fabulous team of people to work with. We had so much fun! Thanks to Valcore who was a hard core groupie and came in person to cheer us on. : ) And last but not least, is our famous Guido, who let us stay at his pad, was a fantastic host, and cooked us awesome blueberry pancakes at 6:00am the day of the meet. It was cool to hang out with everyone this weekend, although not in the soberest of conditions! Too bad the winds were high one day and it rained another. Oh, well. Still got in some great jumps, including #200 and more. I hope Randy H. takes my suggestion and paints "Don't worry, you're at Randy's : )" on the ceiling to help ease the confusion when you wake up there in the middle of the night!
