Aircraft you want to see at the WFFC
Fleahop replied to Fleahop's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Just for the record I have noted right at 50 different aircraft so far. Some of course are way out there and some are well...come on a cessna 172? You find me next year and we will rent one and throw your ass out. I will complete a list of all and the results but for now here are what I am seeing... 1. Blimp 2. Rod and the 412 3. Folker 4. AN-2 5. C-130 6. B-17 7. Jet (DC9/727) 8. Beaver 9. DC-3 10. AN-72 These are just afew but they look like the top 10. If the list stays in this direction I stand a better than average chance. Please keep the ideas comming and get more details like what airport to look at; I mean if we are going to steal something we have to know where to send the fuel truck. This I do know and understand. I wish we could turn back time. I think that if all parties involved when dealing with a particular aircraft would just be honest and not try to factor in the BS that seems to be involved on all three sides it would make things alot simpler. "Why can't we all just get along" to quote some one close to the heart. I do appreciate your input on the DO-228 & 328 I will see if door off flight is approved on the 228 or do you already know the answer to this question??!! I would really enjoy seeing the Pound back together and a you go I go...I believe it's owed to me! Thanks for any and all input you have on these aircraft. Did You ever meet with the QB's? ***If you are serious... Rod and his Bell 412 at the min. Otter Are you seeing this??? Get Rod off his ass and let's get this approval done if he is serious or we need to post what the real deal is. The skydiviers want the E-ride Is Rod going to work with me or not? And lets not forget Rod and Don need to talk. This really needs to be done first before I waste alot I mean ALOT of time working this out with the FAA. Lets Play Ball and quit pussy footing around. By the way the ball is in Rods court. And we only have 6 months. Fleahop Don't just knock on deaths door...Kick it down and run like hell! He hates that. -

Ya lower altitudes will speed things up but if the aircraft is not booked solid does the extra time riding make that much difference to you as a skydiver for more altitude? Other words what is more important to you altitude or time? Also guys and gals if you haven't called a vet today and thanked them for the sacrifice that they have made or are still making you need to do so. You are enjoying your freedom because someone else is willing to make the ultimate sacrafice so you can. MAKE THAT CALL it will mean alot to them and you. God Bless America. You have a little time till the summer starts. Get some jumps under your belt, try and get a B or greater Lic. Then visit DZ.com look under calender or boogies and pick somthing. The WFFC has been known for specialty aircraft and some wild nite life that I have only heard of...maybe seen a photo or two...ok ok I saw the 99 video but this is a good one. Just be straight up where ever you go and someone will help you. And don't be to shy about showing up at the WFFC there are several landing areas that will keep you out of the main flow if need be. Good luck and welcome to a new way of looking at life. Fleahop Don't just knock on deaths door...Kick it down and run like hell! He hates that.

Hey Otter You and I both know that You have parted the sea's more than I. I wish I had half your tallent dealing with the FAA. But you know it's kind of like this with you and I......George Bush and the Pope were boating and the Popes hat flew off. George called to the captin and he made a radio call to the chase helo and the chase boats. In all the confusion to retrieve the Popes hat George just climbed out of the boat walked accross the water picked up the hat and walked back. The next day the headlines read...President of the United States George Bush can't Swim. That is how things are with these cert. and waivers. Thanks for all you do! Once again I am writting to answer several post. Thank you all. I have been on the phone today for more than 4 hours with the FAA and there is a possibility that we will be able to use some of these outlandish aircraft at the convention. This being said it is not approved and we have not found owners that are willing to bring them or let someone else fly them. So...To go along with the christmas list of aircraft please find where they are based, "N" numbers, owners names and numbers, or some form of contact information where I can get some elves started on this list of toys. I can get all kinds of information from an "N" number. Who has a Tri-Motor now? There was one in Saint Louis, if anyone lives close to the GA airport on the west side of town slide by and see what you can find. I think I got the blessings to bring aircraft from Nova Scotia in on a LOA for the convention so all yall way up north that know of some of these interesting aircraft that are registered there and being used let me know...Like the AN 2 that I have started working on that was posted with the pictures. There are some cool facts about the AN 2 that I will see if I can release on the net and maybe write about in the future that no one would believe just looking at the aircraft. Thanks again Fleahop Don't just knock on deaths door...Kick it down and run like hell! He hates that. -

You are correct there are alot of Russian aircraft in the us on mil contract but they are experimental when not being used as public use aircraft. This is what the biggest hurtle will be, getting past the experimental rules. If you find any that are in restricted I can work with those. That would be nice. I will talk to some people here at Ft. Rucker but I think the answer will be no. There is a company that owns a couple privitely I will email them. The cost of operation is very high so the stars and planets would have to line up and they would have to be ferrying it cross the country at just the right time. Oh By the way have yall heard that the convention dates have been changed this year to July 21 through July 31. This was done to help with the fact that alot of jumpers have kids that start to school the first of august. Thanks Flea Don't just knock on deaths door...Kick it down and run like hell! Thanks to everyone for all the nice things yall are saying. This reply will be one to answer several. I am reading all the post but my time is limited and it will be hard to answer everyone personally. I am going to try but please be patient and keep the Ideas comming. Not only for aircraft but other things as well that you would like to see at the convention. I will foward them to those who need them the most. Thanks for everything. I am working on getting Rod back, there are 3 issues with that $$$, insurance, and FAA. FAA I can probly handle as for $$$ and Insurance well that is up to someone else. He want to come back and misses the convention but most of all he says he misses the people. He was there for a couple of days this year just visiting and was going to jump but didn't get to. I never thought about a glider I will look into that. what would be nice is a WWII type that will carry several people. I have a plane that will tow it if I can find one yall keep looking. I will call the 3 blimp owners in the US that I know of shake the bushes and see what falls out. I also want to find a float plane on amphibs. If you have never As for the canopy that blew up I don't know what happened but I did buy my rigger a VERY good VERY old bottle of Anjo Rum. OH YA Just to set the record straight...I was looking through some old forms and saw a couple of comments about my abilities when it comes to my Hardley (scooter)... It was around midnight, I was sober as a judge having just left the communion service at the Caddy Shack.!! What happened was I hit a micro burst, Stalled, Got into a flat spin, and punched out; taking into consideration the size guy I am and the canopy that is used in the stock ejection seat on a hardley I had to PLF when I landed. After I landed I walking back through snake infested bean fields pushing my fine Hardley when I was jumped by 5 REALLY BIG UGLY Guys I was able to whip 4 of them but the fith one had a ball bat and broke my coller bone and sholder blade. Ya I know this sound like chit but thats my story and I'm sticking to it. Keep the ideas comming Thanks Flea. Don't just knock on deaths door...Kick it down and run like hell! He hates that. -

Yes I'm serious. I spent the weekend at the races with Rod just this past weekend. He and I are working together to develope an acceptable low level run for both the FAA and the skydivers. Who has a turbine DC 3? I want a blimp if any one knows some one I can call. As for the jet it's looking very strong. Perris has little to do to be complete but the red tape is tough and the sissors are small. Don't just knock on deaths door...Kick it down and run like hell! He hates that. -

I am but a simple pilot that flys the inverted Bi-plane at the WFFC and I work hand in hand with the FAA to make things happen for the WFFC when it comes to the aircraft that are there and the airspace that we fly & fall through. Hey guys and gals I know that turbine aircraft are getting more and more common for your local DZ's to have; so I wonder what type of aircraft would you like to see at the WFFC 2007? I can't make promises but I would like to here your thoughts. Don't just knock on deaths door...Kick it down and run like hell! He hates that.
