ha. sure. my post doesn't read quite as i intended; i didn't mean to imply that being religious would exclude those things. that reminds me of my mother who likes the first question and answer to her church's catechism. the Westminster, which allows for a little fun.

cheers to bill. i am still 15 years from retiring, but i do hope that when i do retire, i spend a fair amount of time helping others. i'm not a religious person, and this isn't a religious forum; instead i subscribe to the purpose of life is to "have fun and leave things a little better than you found them" helping others is one way to do that.

congrats! I was thinking "well i hope it wasn't everything" as a tandem is a little different from a solo jump...but then, hey large canopies, slightly awkward landings, shrug, maybe not so different than the early 1980s?

i have the similar opinion. one of the two local Cessna 182 dzs went to the "two tandems before IAD" before the other one, and i steered a friend to the non-tandem dz. now both dzs are "tandems first". i agree tandems first helps the students, but it also takes a good chunk of their $ for that help.
