Life expectancy analysis for the policy wonks

I don't know how likely that is, at least in the next 100 years or so. Population growth is slowing and in many countries reversing. Something would have to happen to make that trend reverse. -

not to me. I did SL like 18 years ago, but I can still remember how freaked out I was about having to pull for myself. I was convinced it was very possible that I would get unstable, start tumbling through the air, pull, and get wrapped up in the bridle and lines and plunge to my death in a wad of nylon. Of course that didn't happen, and the jump where I successfully pulled for myself has stayed as a memory all these years. I was celebrating under canopy like I'd just blocked the PK that won my team the EPL title. Good times. AFF will help you get past that fear of pulling, and if that becomes a real blocker for you, I would switch. The important thing is to keep going, keep practicing, keep jumping.

lol. what are you up to Nat? trying to make Dz.com great again by bringing back the naked post whore glory thread? Dick and boob pics, that's what we need around here. On the theme of male nudity, we were talking about putting together a naked jump last week, and it caused me to think back on my one and only nude jump like 15 years ago and how I was soooo happy it was co-ed and not just a sausage fest. But nowadays, I don't care as much, and I am not sure why, I think as I get older I have seen enough dicks (well mostly just mine over and over) that getting an eyeful of dick just isn't as big a deal as it once was. shrug.

41,000' jumps at West Tennessee Skydiving

did you read gowlerk's link? https://www.skydivekingair.com/index.php?p=2800 I am not an O2 expert but after reading that, it sounds like these people are, and maybe you will find an answer there. -
So much waiting in skydiving...?
SethInMI replied to Chris__'s topic in General Skydiving Discussions
It's a fair question. Let's use an idea situation for me, a skydive boogie where there is a lot of skydivers and enough airplanes to make 1 jump an hour all day if desired. That may not sound like a lot, but it is. Preparing / practicing the jump, getting gear on, riding on the plane, doing the jump, flying the parachute, landing, walking back to the packing area, packing the parachute, discussing / reviewing the jump with the participants, it all takes time and effort. Doing that more than 6-8 times a day will wear me out, and it is enjoyable to have small breaks in between jumps to sit back and watch what else is going on. In a less than idea situation, it could be a weekend at a dropzone without a lot of fun jumpers, but plenty of tandems, now maybe I will be there all day and make just 3-4 jumps. Still can be fun, but devoting that much time can feel like a waste. There is only so many times you can hear "This one time, at WFFC" There are plenty of other activities that have similar "do something intense and then do little" patterns. Baseball and golf are a few that come to mind and rock climbing probably also has quite a bit of down time.
