Don't forget Gilles Lupien. The Canadiens were a much stronger bunch when he arrived in '77. I was at a Cleveland Barons (remember them?) game vs. Montreal in '78. Lupien beat up about four of the Barons during a game ending bench clearing brawl.

In this month's "Parachutist" there is an article about the five Belize boogies. The original article ran in depth about how it all got started and has progressed through mounds of red tape and logistical problems. As usual the article was condensed to fit into the "Five Minute Call" section of the magazine. I want everyone to know that the Kapowsin crew flew one of their Caravans down the first year (2005) and helped out tremendously. Thanks Geoff, Jessie, Keri, Jeff, Andy, Dave and the rest that helped out for a very successful first year.

Gretz won't want to toil in Hamilton or Kitchener, and the league wants a stable market new arena to move to. What is a better marketing ploy than having the "Great One" bring an NHL team to a cow town near you? The only question left will be..."Scouts" or "Coyotes"!

My son is in fifth grade here in San Diego. Last Thursday he was convinced he was getting swine flu. Alejandro sits next to him and was in Tijuana visiting his Grandparents last weekend. He coughed once in class. All of the kids were in a panic. After the school assembly to tell the kids all about the flu and how to wash their hands and cover their mouths...and everything they see on the news...it was just too much. The school nurse has had her hands full with panicked parents, children and teachers. She had to bring in extra help. Not one swine flu sick kid in the entire school district.

Pens/Caps...this should be the most entertaining series in a LONG time! Crosby/Malkin vs. Ovechkin/Semin It will come down to goaltending, as usual!!! Carolina/Bruins will be a great series also. What a comeback by the 'Canes!!
