  1. Does anyone have any tips or photos of how you attached your Altitrack to you bonehead mudflap mount?
  2. Have you tried recording in 720p instead of 1080p? I have not tried recording in 720p. Why should I have to do that?
  3. anyone got a fix, know of a player/codec that will allow me to watch videos with out this teleportation effect?
  4. It seems like you can mount the camera cage to it. I shot them an email to get more details. you can mount anything that will mount on a liquid flatlock

  6. Have a Look at the GAS from cookie, easy to mount a still or video cam but not both.
  7. The canopy will generally not drag you if it's in full flight above your head. The moment you pull a toggle and present the bottom skin to the wind, it's no longer a wing, it's a sail or a drag chute. If you turn the canopy into the ground by pulling a toggle and holding it behind you then try to resist the wind, the wind will win. You've give the canopy the best chance to drag you on the ground that way. If you pull the toggle, keep reeling it in and run after the canopy. Get be behind it if you can so it blows up against your legs. You can also run after it and step on the bridle after the canopy passes over and walk on it till you get to the canopy. Good luck also a good idea to disconnect your rsl just before making your final when its really windy so that you can have a clean cutaway should the wind drag you into a dangerous area(another jumper landing, runway, etc)
  8. FYI Im using the lastest version of QT and DIVX. VLC player will only play the sound, the video is stuck on the first frame. Im running a intel based mac book pro with OSX 10.4.11 The card used in the GOPRO HD was a San Disk EXTREME 16GB class 10
  9. just ran movie inspector. it says the file is 30fps but is actually playing at about 15 fps in QT
  10. yes that is correct. in quicktime it keeps flashing back a few frames every 2-3 seconds. people in the footage are tele-porting across the screen.
  11. the footage i have uploaded to my computer comes out choppy on the 1080p mode. Anyone know why Windows media player plays at full fps with no sound and why quick time plays with sound and skips all over the place?
  12. How would everyone feel if the first colony of the moon decided to secede from whatever multi national, nato backed, hippy, treehugger, socialist, gun hating earth alliance of the future and then declare war on earth over the rights to planet Tanis; a life sustaining planet some 124 billion light years away?
  13. I have heard different views on this. Wish I knew for sure. I really liek the pulse but it the characteristics I like( fast openings and good flare) are going to deteriorate over time what's the point? anyon out there with 400 jumps on a pulse that can chime in?
  14. While Im not expert. I can share my experience with you none the less. I have jumped both in 190. About 10 jumps on each. The pilot has a very comfortable opening but takes about 800 ft to be slider down and in the saddle. Without getting on rears it barely got me back from a long spot into the wind. It was awesome in turns and the flare was the best flare for my tastes out of the canopies I have demo'd(Sabre 2, Pulse, Storm, Spectre) The pulse had very comfortable openings as well. They were much faster though. Which I liked alot. Turns were comparable to the pilot but with a little lighter toggle pressure. This thing flys forever and I really appreciate it being that Im mostly always the last or close to last out. The Flare was nice but I prefer the pilots flare. This thing packs really small. and is super easy to work with. I really like both canopies and cant say anything bad about either.
  15. Our ZPX canopies pack at least 2 sizes smaller than our ZP canopies. We always compare our own since our competitors have chosen to measure their canopies in quite different ways. Hence so much confusion among skydivers. Will Pilot 168ZPX pack smaller than Sabre 170? Yes, though Pilot 168 has more square footage than Sabre 170. I have packed Pilot 168 ZPX into Icon I3, which was build for Pilot 132 ZP. That was an easy pack job as before putting 168ZPX in I3 I packed Pilot 188ZPX in it. The true advantage of ZPX fabric is that it lets you get more air out of canopy. This way you can pack it in smaller dbag. If you like Pilot's performance don't settle for anything less. It is an awesome canopy and after seeing it up against all other semi-elliptical canopies out in the field, I can say without any doubt, none of them even come close. thanks. Im going to stick with the pilot but I am going to try the pulse out one more time. I really liked the pulse for geting back from a long spot. Do you happen to know if the pilot is available with vectran lines?
  16. Its going to be a 170. If its not going to pack smaller that a standard PD zp than I guess the only benefit would be easier packing? perhaps Ill demo another pulse and see if it grows on me
  17. Im going to be purchasing a canopy first couple weeks of Dec. I know that the standard ZP pilot packs bigger than a PD canopy such as a sabre2 of equivalent size. I know AeroDyne states 15-20% smaller. But smaller than what? A zp pilot? making it pack as small/big as a pd sabre 2 of equivalent size? or even smaller than that? Is a 168 ZPX pilot going to pack up smaller than a 170 sabre? I really like the pilot but would like to know experiences of those who have used both the zp and zpx variations of the pilot and how much of a difference you noticed in pack volume.
  18. Just be safe out there man. Also doesn't hurt to have some humble pie every now and again.
  19. I have a monday delivery. Ill be at Perris If you wanna borrow it.
  20. are you only interested in those canopies in 210? PULSE 210 and you get to keep all nine cells... might fit.
