  1. I've seen you post this quite a few times. It inspired me to change my signature line. What do you think? ciel bleu, Saskia
  2. Yeah. For batch processing, get 2mb ram ciel bleu, Saskia
  3. Possible causes: You need to use firewire not usb Camera needs to be in vcr mode The project file needs to be the right format, ie 4:3 NTSC ciel bleu, Saskia
  4. Auto iso? Why would you use that? Just use the flash inside the plane, lower iso = less noise = better pics. The IR remote thing is annoying at best, I jumped the d70 like that for a year. Totally worth it to either buy another camera (my excuse LOL) or get the harbotronics mod done. All suitable nikon cameras have the lcd up top BTW. ciel bleu, Saskia
  5. Nikon D40(x) is not jumpable, get a D70s/D80/D200. D70 is jumpable but with IR remote which is a pain. D50, not jumpable. Unless there is a Harbotronics-type mod done to it but why not buy a suitable camera in the first place... ciel bleu, Saskia

  7. Mine said 2-3 months and since he was a retired aerobatics flyer I believed him ciel bleu, Saskia
  8. The very best for freefall are good-fitting goggles. A lot of people like flex-z goggles. Sunglasses in general have a tendency to not fit as good so you get wind blowing in from the edges. For me that's not jumpable. Also, jumping with any dark goggles/sunnies has drawbacks, try doing the sunset load with them. I'd advise regular goggles for sure. Not sure why they "come loose" or what you mean by it exactly, but buy a decent pair of goggles that fits and you're set. ciel bleu, Saskia
  9. I have a jacket with big clip-on wings and freefly-style pants, I use these for filming RW and tandems. For filming wingsuiting I use my wingsuit duh and for CRW I use whatever, as long as it's warm ciel bleu, Saskia
  10. Eh today is sunday not monday eh.... Been working too hard? LOL Yeah those scores were from friday. Not sure what happened to the percentages, had to delete a lot of stuff (logos etc) to get the spreadsheet small enough to post here. Me or Henny will post final scores and results later, I don't have the digital file myself yet. ciel bleu, Saskia
  11. LOL thanx No more canopy rules for me ciel bleu, Saskia

  15. Really? No radio at all? Yup. ciel bleu, Saskia
  16. but if the student is color blind, how do they know that they are the blue canopy and their defination of blue is probably not the same as someone who is not color blind. I'm thinking the whole point is that the INSTRUCTOR knows to call the blue canopy "Tom" and the purple one "Sandra" Then again, we don't use radios on our dz and most students seem to make it to the dz just fine and usually fly a decent pattern and flare, starting jump 1 Although there are a select few who seem to need a TomTom ciel bleu, Saskia
  17. Don't forget the difference in stabilisation, so that you can basically only bellyfly with a hc7 so why would you want one? I'd go with the hc5 for that reason alone. ciel bleu, Saskia
  18. Just about every sentence you wrote doesn't make sense. I didn't feel like typing all that out. You're talking about winds when they do not matter, stall point for different wings when there is a lot more to a stall point than the TYPE of wing (most student wings CANNOT be stalled due to longer steering lines) etc. Just some examples... This is a classic example of why the first poster should go talk with his own instructors! ciel bleu, Saskia
  19. the above post doesn't make much sense ciel bleu, Saskia
  20. Bought my first canopy at 75 jumps: a spectre 150 wl 1:1 after that I jumped a lightning 143, spectre 135, safire 135, lightning 126, vengeance 135, diablo 120, vengeance 120, springo 120, did some jumps on various other 120-ish canopies (stiletto, pilot, safire2, sabre, triathlon) and now i am the happy owner of a safire 119 (at ~1035 jumps right now), got a bit heavier in the meantime so my wl is about 1.4:1. I loved the vengeance but i wingsuit a lot so the safire is way better for that and the biggest vengeance that would fit in my current rig would be a 107 which is too small for me right now never mind for wingsuiting. ciel bleu, Saskia

    Gloves

The owner is a great guy, he shows up on various dz's/events in Europe. He makes loads of stuff, most of it pretty good These gloves are sort of like the kiting gloves I bought last year, very durable and comfy, but cheaper than the kiting gloves
