I love patient care, but I find that EMS does not pay well enough to support anything where I live. I am presently working to upgrade my EMT to and EMT Critical Care EMT-I in some states. lol I didn't know there was another thread about that. Today at work I decided to mop out the ambulance, because well it needs to be done periodically. mmm Bleach is good. Temp was about 85 with 80% humidity, and while I did powder the boys this morning that was many hours before mopping the ambulance. Now I am walking like I just got off a horse. I notice that this doesn't happen when I wear my compression shorts, so I would assume that it wouldn't happen if I wore boxer briefs. It is not necessarly improving glide ratio. When you use rear risers you change the trim of your wing and thus flattening the glide ration. However when you are in brakes just before your stall point is a flight mode called minimum sink. In other words you aren't going there fast, but you aren't coming down as fast as you would normally. In other words in minumum sink you can use the wind on your back to push you back to the DZ given a long spot. You won't get there quickly but you'll get there. As long as you are on a down wind run.
