i have used the approach several times of carefully explaining to the booth guard and the tv/exray guard exactly what they are about to see go thru their machine and what it will look like (ie metal parts - 3ring hip rings and closing pin) . all trips have gone well and no repacks... & anyone who knows me knows thats a good thing as long as it takes me to pack that darn thing. blaine

ok nc, lets not fight like surfers who only have so many breaks ... we have limited object's... and really only one significant kind of object ... but at the same time there are limited jumpers ... so lets work together to make sure we dont meet at the wrong time ... ie just after / before exit. or meet up with certain personel we care not to meet. john's lookin to see if others are jumping the same object ... the particular item mentioned is enough if your jumping it ... if not then i guess it does not concern you. as well john & i (and the raeford crew) are happy to share with others as we get to know them. lets keep it concilitory (sp?) lets also keep it pm'd and not public. blaine

hey felonie, i highly suspect you are not alone in your confusion. when i first started on this site a regular poster 'cornishe' made many a post that i viewed as highly sarcastic and not to be taken seriously. i had many a laugh (viewing the comments as merely humor) although i soon saw that many others were highly upset by his comments (viewing them as serious). then i watched several months of bickering between a highly distinguished jumper (the mCco___y is named after him) and our moderator tom (who does a wonderful job of trying to keep the peace). as of recently there seems to be peace there. recently magot seems to be either highly sarcastic (if viewed that way) or highly combative (if viewed seriously). i am not sure how it would be accomplished, but i suppose there are many out there that would like to see the community getting along better here on the internet. lets also hope the conflict stays here on this site and never finds its way to the exit point. that would truely be bad. i suspect we all find our peace at the exit. blaine
