FYI this was a clear and honest question for clarification. If you re-read the question asked was: "did the person go down 100 sq ft" NOT to a 100 sq ft canopy. It doesn't do well to assume anything in this medium. Hook, Billv, Jimbo and Bytch...I agree.

I am pleased that first off, you recognized the issue, and second that you had the fortitude to pose the question here. An accomplished skydiver has a couple of interesting stickers on his helmet that read "Stupidity should be painful" and " If you're gonna be stupid, you better be tough" Your willingness to put your question out here shows that you are interested in safety and education, you just need some guidnce from a few esteemed, characters.

Good for you Chris...ultimately the pilot is responsible. I take a pro-active stance. More often that not people are hurt or worse by others negligence. Not in my backyard nor in my playground if I can help it. There was an instance during a recent boogie where a jumper was geared up and manifested. He was obviously intoxicated for he could barely walk. I informed him (albeit politley) that he would not be jumping on that day. After he sobered up he actually thanked me and said "More people should have as much balls as you...you probably saved my life". It could have turned out a whole lot different.... Cheers Everyone! Geez MokeyOne I'm sure glad you asked....He has a tent, but not the one you stayed in. Seems one of our skydiving brethren took it upon him/herself to relieve said tent of its doors and the back wall with a razor. Nice huh? On a happier note.....oh wait I don't have a happier note....in fact...my happy thought has gone a missing

0:14:0 Damn Rain! Yesterday was gorgeous then today only 2 jumps. One from the Otter at 7k and one from the Porter. Once the clouds broke, it was too windy to jump. I put a movie on the big screen in the main hangar, made kettle corn laid back with a crowd of others and enjoyed the rest of the day.
