  1. Well humph! Part of the deal with the vendors was that they provide items for the goody bags....AND a coupon for the New Years balloon drop. Some of those items are worth thousands of dollars each! LOL you want my job? Bwahhhhhhhhhhh
  2. You answered your own question... Also there have been some changes since meeting with Bryan this am regarding Cross Country Loads. All of the information will be in the Boogie packet, so make sure your read it.
  3. FYI If you are looking to do a raft jump at the Holiday Boogie, you need to clear it with Bryan Burke first. There is a $100 deposit on all raft jumps and you must provide the raft as well as ground crew for retrieval of said raft.
  4. The landings in the North area are faster than most as they are generally cross wind landings. The South area is into the wind. Most days the winds are less than 5 mph. If you are coming in on double fronts, you can bet its gonna be fast.
  5. Answered in a prior post. As the balloon takes off from SDA it is a skydiving operation. Your parachutes have to be packed in your container....LOL...sheesh
  6. We would love to have you! Since you didn't fill out your profile, I made an assumption BB
  7. Skydive Arizona of course! LOL We currently have 5 Scots here jumping like jumpinbeans
  8. A local climber will be out and about the same day as you'all. He said he would be happy to point out some nice climbs. He wanted let you know that if there is anyone interestd in 10s...he is available.
  9. Dates: Thursday, 29 April 2004 – Sunday, 2 May 2004 Where: Rocky Point, Sonora, Mexico. Rocky Point is an informal American name for Puerto Penasco, Mexico. Cost: $25 registration fee, jumps from 13,000 for $20 each from a Skydive Arizona Twin Otter. We cannot process credit cards and will not accept checks. You must have cash. Requirements: The landing area is a long beach. At high tide it can be quite narrow, less than half the width of the north landing area at Skydive Arizona. Behind this beach is a congested campground and hotel complex. Skydivers are strongly advised to have water landing gear on every jump. Exits are over the ocean and in the event of a low pull or reserve ride, a water landing is a very real possibility. Skydivers with round reserves are required to have water landing gear. Due to the hazardous nature of the landing area, a C license and proof of currency are required. Bring your USPA card, logbook, and an in date reserve. Food and Lodging: There are numerous hotels and restaurants, some within walking distance. The host site is a campground with two hotels close by. To reserve a camp site, call Dawn Rae at 602-421-0696. The campground, Playa Bonita, is where manifest will be located. This camp ground is fairly crowded but has all the conveniences: full RV hook ups, showers, laundry, ice, etc. Reservations are essential because the campground often fills up. Travel: Rocky Point is about a three hour drive from Skydive Arizona. You can not take rental cars across the border without authorization from the rental company. The road is a good quality paved road, and the border crossing is open all day. You will need a passport to re-enter the US. Most US auto insurance policies are invalid in Mexico but you can buy short term insurance at the stores in Why, Arizona, on the way. Other things to do: Beaches are nice and swimming is OK, but Rocky Point’s existence revolves mainly around the shrimp fishing industry and partying Americans. This is a great place to wind surf or sail (you’ll need your own equipment) and there are supposedly some good fishing spots. It is easy to launch small boats from the beach, but for trailered boats you will need to use the boat ramp in town. It is a good town to shop for Mexican crafts, there are some pretty fair seafood restaurants in town, and several bars or night clubs provide night life. The area is very popular with OHV riders because of its large sand dunes. Organ Pipe National Monument is on the US side of the border, with excellent desert hiking. Spring is a particularly good time for this, as wild flowers will be in bloom. Maps and hotel listings: www.puerto-penasco.com
  10. Yeah the Lip will truly be greated in fashion....listed as the newest dessert on the menu Bwahhhhhhhh Some guys have all the luck
  11. LOL mama!! Umm Freestyle is not the only discipline I can do.
  12. To the first part of your statement....I am aware. Secondly, as the balloon takes off from Skydive Arizona, it is considered a skydiving operation. Sorry folks, thats just the way it is.
  13. Oh boy....I wanna do the 2-way BirdMan rodeo with SkymonkeyOne,LouDiamond and Katiebear21. I will be on the ground most of the time, but... I guess I fall under "Bbarnhouse and the only person who will jump with her" category. Meaning if you're crazy enough to jump with a pixie...I'm game
  14. Sheesh I only need a 5 minute call...bwahhhhhh Ok all have a wonderful day...I'll be checking in later
  15. Ummm you can have a round in your container....as long as there are 2 parachutes BB thinks Vector is looking for trouble
  16. Well darlin' I haven't seen you at any of the gatherings yet....and technically, you are geographically unsuitable. Course anyone that's more than 50 miles away falls into that category (SunnyOne's rule). Then again....it IS always a womans perrogative to change her mind Sangiro....well he's just the bomb diggety
  17. There are several well wthought out, well written articles on the subject at www.bird-man.com
  18. Noooooooooo!! Pick me...pick MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
  19. The best advice I can give to anyone (and not directed soley at you Aviatrr) is the following:With dozens of world-class swoopers here, you aren't going to make a big impression no matter what you do (at least, not a good impression!) so you might as well go safe instead of big.
  20. I don't think I need to restate my position. Chuck and Lou were both more eloquent than I, but our views are the same. Cheers! BB
  21. But...but...I'M here! Wahhhhhhhhhh....wahhhhhhhhhhh. BB

First that I/We have head of this. Gordy is right about Philipp....but no worries...plenty of other big-way organizers
  23. There was some good information in the article. Additionally there was information/suggestions that that I have difficulty with, and those of you who have BM-I ratings would agree with me as well. There are many dropzones across the country that have never had wingsuit flyers jumping from thier aircraft, let alone having a S&TA that could properly instruct a first flight. Taking a first flight course with a certified BirdMan instructor should always be encouraged and should be the norm for wingsuit flyers. It is and should be the standard. BB
  24. LOL well, stick around awhile...you're sure to see it. The best rendition was at last years gathering of the clan
