The good part about those days is that we have friends who can help us through them so that when we wake up the next day and things are better we can look back and say, "You know, that sucked, but thanks to my friends standing by me it worked out and today is gonna be better."     I'm fairly small 5'2" 125 pounds. When I started jumping I was big into weight training but have totally quit working out over the past 3 years. I also brok my left arm/elbow last year. I had a high speed mal last w/e and was totally able to pull my reserve with one hand. I was prepared to loop my right hand around the handle if necessary and had even practiced doing that in case of a hard pull, but thankfully it wasn't. PLEASE, make sure to do a practice pull. Gear up totally. Actually throw out your PC (just trash pack the main), have someone shake your harness violently (from behind is better) then cutaway and pull the reserve.     Probably about 40-50 jumps between when I first noticed the threads and when it failed. I really didn't think you were fussing at me but I wanted to make it clear that I was at fault here for not checking my stuff more carefully and sending it back due to a problem.     I don't believe I have EVER said it was anyone's fault but my own for not catching it. If I had done a better job inspecting MY rig then maybe this wouldn't have happened. Also, if I had returned the part to Sunpath when I first noticed a problem this most likely wouldn't have happened.     EVERYONE and I mean even the receptionist has been great at Sunpath. Regardless of WHO caused the problem they have fixed my PC and bridle and are shipping it to me tomorrow so hopefully I'll get to jump this w/e. When I asked how much it was going to cost me they said NOTHING. On top of this they replaced my beautiful purple diamondback cutaway handle that I was so mad about loosing.

    OK, just heard from Sunpath. They feel that when I had the rigger look at the threads that were showing and she tacked them down she tightened the webbing around the pin causing the burr to pull on a concentrated area making it fail. Moral...send stuff to the manufacturer.
