  1. Its gone at the most annoying time for me, cos my hard disk broke and i lost all my downloaded videos!
  2. It doesnt scare me because i cant imagine what its like. I have to think really hard about it (which i dont do very often) to realise what it actually means. Whatever happens i will die eventually, but it can't imagine it happening so it really doesnt bother me. I still want to avoid it for as long as possible because im happy with this life and i want it to last.
  3. 1. Jump solo while im still 16 2. Get to 100 jumps 3. Get my own rig 4. Start freeflying in the tunnel
  4. Well i've only had one. It was my first time jumping without the radio. Basically i underestimated how strong the wind was. I turned into wind and immediately knew i wouldnt make it. I headed for a small ploughed field next to the airfield with trees either side of it. Thought "please dont land in the trees". I didnt, i did my best landing but nobody saw it! Did get a ride back in the van tho
  5. Im 16 and just graduated from AFF here in the UK. I whish more people could jump at 16 cos most people i meet at the DZ have 16 year old kids! So i do sometimes feel a little out of place, but i think they do like seeing youngsters there. Best advice i can give you is try a wind tunnel. You can certainly go there when your under 18 and it'll give you a great advantage when you do start to jump.
  6. Yeah i know what you mean. You should hear Victor Wooten play it on the bass. Not only the song but his playing is just out of this world. You can get the video on most download programs.
  7. I was at hinton on sunday, some of the people there said they heard it from 50 miles away, and you could certainly see it from the plane. Occasionally there would be an orange glint from the flames. What a way to do my final AFF jumps!
  8. Im sorry if this has been posted before, but i was just wondering if anybody knows where i can get the video of that guy jumping back into a plane? I've seen it before but can't remeber where i got it from and searcing skydivingmovies.com has so far failed! Blue Skies
  9. Bedford helped me sort out my symetry too. I've done 5:40 minutes freefall now and 45mins tunnel time! I love the place, and since it's england in winter now i doubt i'll be jumping many weekends, so i'll be spending plenty more time there! and yes the people are great there.
  10. Instead of just being money i think it's more a case of "cant be bothered to spare the money". They would probably rather have a nice car or something (not that all skydivers have bad cars!). I knew i wanted to skydive from when i first saw it when i was 12 or something i dont know why it just always appealed to me and i guess it doesn't to some, then it was a 4 year wait to do it! My first jump was an AFF jump and i've never done a tandem. To be honest i don't think a tandem is much to brag about, i mean who's gonna sound cooler bragging, a guy who says "i've done a tandem skydive" or the guy who stuck with it and says "i've done 500 skydives" or "i'm a skydiving instructor"?!
  11. I know exactly how you feel, i thought i'd get through AFF in a week. But i had hurdles too, first i kept tumbling on exit and not having time to do all the turns and stuff, then i kept on having a loose left leg, which i couldn't fix no matter how much i tried. My solution, was to go to a wind tunnel until i got it right consistently. It saved me loads of money, and once i had fixed it, i was so much more relaxed when i next jumped, because i was confident, and it was probably actually just the pshycological effect more than the physical effect the tunnel had on me that made me get it right. So what i'm saying is get it in your head that you can do it, then you will do it.
