You are exactly right. People who have used MJ for a long period of time find it harder and harder to get high. They have to smoke more to get the same effect as when they started. Some of them eventually turn to harder drugs to try and achieve the high again. You develop the same response to alcohol. It gets harder and harder to get drunk. You have to compare apples to apples. LOL, I've seen that movie about 32 times. It was one of three good movies we had when I was deployed to Saudi for 5 months. It is one of my all time favorites. Well this is what you said We are targeting military command and control, factories that build military equipment, residences of gov't leaders, transportation infrastructure, etc. All of these are valid military targets. What does alcohol poisoning have to do with impairing your mental ability to make rational decisions? You make a point but it has nothing to do with my argument. Were you directing this at someone else? If you want to go OD on a drug that is your decision. When you take drugs that cause you to lose your rational decision making ability then you start becoming a danger to other people. Notice, I said I've never taken illegal drugs. Prescription drugs taken illegally are not illegal drugs. The drugs are legal (hence the prescription) but they are used illegally. Illegal drugs are illegal by their mere presence. Since you called me a doper can I call you an asshole now. I don't require a rigorous scientific study to know the effects of marijuana. They are regulated and have other uses besides recreation. You actually believe these studies. That's ridiculous. I do. Although it is usually one beer and that's it. I'm talking about the drug's ability to impair your mental ability. Marijuana's ability to impair you mental ability is a whole lot higher than alcohols. Do you dispute that? Well, I have never taken an illegal drug in my entire life. I have passed a lie detector test with that question on it. The debate here isn't about whether marijuana should be legal or not. It is about obeying the law. Quit comparing marijuana to beer and nicotine. It is similiar but their is a large difference. You can drink a limited amount of alcohol without becoming mentally impaired. You can use nicotine without becoming mentally impaired. You cannot smoke marijuana without becoming mentally impaired. I don't really care if marijuana is legalized or not. The harder drugs should definitely be illegal. If you disagree then work to change it or do it illegally away from me and the DZ. They can secure the premises while they wait for a search warrant with probable cause. If they believe the person has the evidence on his person then they can secure him too while waiting for a search warrant. In this case they didn't really need a search warrant (because of the vehicle exception) but were probably just going the extra step to ensure it wasn't thrown out of court later. If it was my department, we would only send undercover officers in if we have had a citizen complain about drug use (or other illegal activity) at the event or location. We don't usually troll for drug use. They most likely had information that drugs were being sold at the DZ. We rarely worry about marijuana users unless they can lead us to a big supplier. Busting somebody for smoking pot is too much paperwork and they don't get any time anyway. It is usually only done if their is somebody bigger in the equation. Just my opinion. *** I wonder why, because you do not have to have a search warrant for a vehicle if you have probable cause (in this case the odor of burning marijuana) to believe there is contraband inside. Since vehicle are "highly mobile" they have been determined, in the eyes of the court, to be exempt from the requirements for a search warrant. I'd be interested to know what 'really' was going on... *** Our policy is to get a search warrant if at all possible. Even if an exception is warranted. I like how CNN slanted this story.http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/Northeast/03/04/iraq.usa.shirt.reut/index.html The headline reads He wasn't arrested for his T-shirt. He was arrested for refusing to leave private property when the owners told him to. He was asked to leave the property for wearing the 'peace' T-shirt. The one good thing about the whole incident is that the police got to arrest a lawyer.

First static line at Airborne School in the military in 1992 at the age of 22. I didn't start sport skydiving until the age of 31.
