  1. I'm not actually sure that you should tack all soft links. If you look on PD's Slink instructions, they make no mention of tacking. The argument against it is that you can no longer insoect the slink properly if they are tacked down. 2. Thanks guys, I guess my spelling was a bit off, but to be fair, i Coppied it from her email to me! Too bad about the plane though, it would have been neat to get a jump from something totally unique like that. 3. Hey all, to make a long, really weird story short, I'm about to get a ride in a friend of mine's father's airplane. I haven't seen it since i was a kid, but she told me it's called a "Grauman American." I don't believe she's very aeronauticly inclined, so she might be slightly incorrect about the name, but has anyone heard of it, or something like it? I want to know if I can make a skydive from it! I did a quick google search and found nothing. Thanks everyone! God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  4. Hey everyone, I just got a new computer, and it has the illustrious Windows Vista on in. Now I can't get my Nero 6.6 to work. Does anyone know a solution? Or have a copy of Nero 7 I could yoink? Thanks. God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  5. This is all. God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  6. I've heard this is the case as well. I've yet to hear what tack Aerodyne is going to take. God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  7. I agree with the hand to foot dock. God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  8. Dave, to this day, I maintain those are my favorite BASE pictures you've ever taken. God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  9. Yeah, I'll second the medical stuff. A lot of medical info on TV is bunk, and it gets annoying. God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  10. That's exactly what we're talking about with the Aerodyne canopies. The Type 4 support tape that makes up the line attachment tabs is a different colour for each line group (A-B-C-D-Steering). It makes teaching PRO packing a lot easier. God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  11. I'm curious as to why you wouldn't consider colored line attachment points packing aids. Some of my first pack jobs were on a Pilot with the colored tabs, and I've personally taught people to pack on the same canopies. I think it's great. It's hardly a replacement for learning propper packing technique, just a suplement, but I think it's really helpful in aiding people to make sense of that big ball of nylon a canopy looks like when you satrt packing. 12. I've seen the one with the BaybBel cheese wheels, and the Taco Bell one, but nothing about tetris. God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  13. It obviously goes without saying that it varries highly on the type of malfunction that was cutaway. Obviously a baglock will beat a fully inflated wing that was cutaway due to linetwists to the ground any day. 14. Yea, slowing down after a ff dive can be quite noticeable, especially when you're doing a solo and don't have stuff like tracking, etc... on your mind. God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  15. I don't know how much you weigh, etc... but I would say 225 in a stand from 13400 is more than possible. I got to a max of 184 on my back. If you were in a stand the entire dive, I'd believe it. God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  16. Grrrrrrrrrr.... FLAMES RULE!!! God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  17. Man, you guys have it good, with all this $12 low pass talk. We pay $21 to 3500 and 34 to 10k. God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  18. Yeah, absolutely, I'd prettymuch decided those already, with everyone on here's help. And it is in my basement, which means you have to walk through the rest of the house to get there, so no shoes! God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  19. Okay, as promised, (maybe a little late), here are the pictures. I didn't think to take pictures before I started, but picture in your mind a regular, non finished basement, with insulation and vapour barrier on the walls. I also built some of the walls, kind of hard to describe which ones, but they're there! I think my next step is to get the ceiling done, as I'd like to get some difusers for the hot air vents, and some better lighting. I figure if I'm going to do all that, I might as well get the ceiling up too. Well, that and the fact that I want to make it look more liveable. Enjoy! 20. Yeah, I'd think so too. I don't know why that came to mind! God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  21. Was it like a waterslide?? God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  22. Yeah, the black painting sounded neat, but not really functional for rigging. I have clips up as well, I forgot to talk about that. They work great. God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  23. I've yet to encounter a Q2, but from the video/recall, can I correctly assume that they have a large base conical spring? God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
  24. Wow! lots of info, thanks Terry. The packing table/drying tower doesn't really apply, as I'm a CSPA Rigger A with no round rating, but the rest is pure gold! The room is 12' by 28', and I was only going to put 2 fluorescent fixtures up, as well as 2 incandescent fixtures in areas where flourescent won't fit, I hope that'll be enough. My father in law told me about a system called ceiling link (http://www.ceilinglink.com) which is like drop tile, but not dropped. I think I'm going to put that up on half, and then regular drop tile on the half that needs to be dropped below some heating dutcs, etc... 25. Ahh, season 8. A great one. God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires.
