So I am close to being able to receive my B license, but most of the JMs at the dz suggest I just skip it, spend the extra $20 on a jump, and just jump my butt off to get the C ... Exactly! That's totally how felt afterwad ...before? Excitement! It was what I wanted to do soooo bad! I remember taking the door or the otter to do my exit count, and thinking "is this really happening?" Upon exiting, i remember thinking "holy sh*t!" and then and overwhelming joy and peace as I realized I was finally accomplishing what I had alwaysed longed for. best wishes for blue skys and tons of fun! oh the familiarity of that story! lol, here i am thinking i must be one of the only ones to start at 18 ... (but i say that only because i'm the only one i know of ) so i'm glad to hear a similar story -

YAY hi russ!!!! I was begining to think i was the only sdo jumper here!!!! yeah manifest ... i like it, but i like being on the outside of the little box better if you know what i mean (lol, more jumping on that side) can't wait to see you at the dz ... maybe on the inside of the box, maybe on the out side, depends on the day. but congrats again on your A! we'll have to go play some time. let everyone watch us newbies fumble through the air I am not afraid . . . I don't know how or when the fasination began, but I knew that as soon as it was legal, I wanted to jump ... So, on my 18th birthday I went out and did my AFF 1 \ 3 monthes, and an A license latter, I've never looked back I think I've forgotten what life was like before I could fly I am not afraid . . . I was terrified of watching everyone ahead of me in the Otter jump out - I kid you not! I hod no problem willingly flinging myself out of the plan, but I hated watching other people, it freaked me out. I got over that after 10 to 15 jumps ... but i'm still scared of "falling" out of the plan - which is assinine, consitering weather I jump out or fall out, it will have an identical outcome - I'll be skydiving I am not afraid . . .
