  1. Thanks for the concern but... APF not USPA. I've seen the Stroboframe and I think they have more of a snag prob than the UN QuickShoe Cheers, Jason.
  2. Just wondering what the best way of mounting a UN QuickShoe to the top of a helmet, would be. Any help appreciated, cheers guys.
  3. Found this link. Check it out, Depth Of Field Chart/Calc & Hyperfocal Chart. Let me know if this is any good. http://www.dofmaster.com/ Cheers, Jason.
  4. Most students that early on don't realise how the TAO system works and by the time they do, they should have their EP's worked out. You are still taught to pull Red, Silver. In the case that only one handle is pulled the main riser (L/H) has an RSL, the reserve handle also has cutaway cables attached to it. So instead of the cutaway loop (small white shoelace type material, sorry don't know the tech name) being sown (sp?) to the main risers it is free and held in place by 2 (two) yellow cutaway cables.
  5. And thats not a personal attack? Cheers, Jason.
  6. I don't KNOW this as a FACT, but just thinking about it for a sec. When you bring your arms back to grab PC, if you close your legs and try to stick your heals in your @ss would it counter the tendancy to go head low? Just a thought. I don't know Cheers, Jason.
  7. Because most Freeflyers have more control (forward movement especially, I believe) while Head Down. So if the camera is upside down and you go HD the video is the right way up. For those people that dub straight to VHS maybe... Also not all programs will let you invert the image. Looks damn trippy watchin the cam flyer coming in to land upside down Cheers, Jason.
  8. Can't see a real problem with it as long as; Your card is compatible Compatible Memory Cards CompactFlash (type I & II)/MicroDrive SmartMedia Memory Stick Memory Stick PRO Secure Digital MultiMediaCard xD-Picture Card (which I would assume it is) As long as it works without a PC, which it seems to. So yer looks reasonably good, just a quality and reliability question now.
  9. I believe APF regs state that the tandem passenger/student has to have the legs hooked up for the ride to hieght so in the case of an emergency the TM only needs to do up 2 clips. The hardest part of the exit would obviously be the climb out. I would guess between 10 to 30 seconds Cheers, Jason.
  10. GravityGirl: I never really thought the layers of material, say 2 layers, would really make that much difference, guess you learn something new every day
  11. On a more serious note. I'd use one of these Cheers, Jason.
  12. RMW Australia I got a jumpsuit and FF Pants from these guys, all I can say. They're amazing
  13. The pattern on a suit will in no way affect how you will fly in the air (unless it is spray painted and goes hard like cardboard or something..??) The only reason I can think you would have been told the suit will make you unstable is due to it's size. You can get suits in a tight fit, medium or loose, depending on your fall rate. ie. to fall slower get a looser fit, but apparently they are harder to fly also. Somone please correct me if I'm wrong.
  14. Step into the leg straps. pull harness up and do up chest strap, then do up leg straps. I ALWAYS know if my chest strap is undone, because I hang my helmet and goggles off it on the walk to the plane.
  15. Exactly what I was chasing, cheers heaps mate. Cheers, Jason.
  16. I did the same thing, thought all was good... Have had a sinus infection for almost a month, and yes I did get anti-biotics. Just have the weekend off man, it really really hurts. Cheers, Jason.

  19. Yeh like I said the Container has done about 200 jumps up here in Karratha/Wickham (Shitty Red Dirt) and Darwin, so I was surprised at how new it looks. Might have to try this Skotch-Guard, cheers guys. Cheers, Jason.
