(just had this emailed to me... thought it was worth sharing) If you haven't decided who to vote for here's a little something to add to your knowledge base. Subject: Difference between Liberals, Conservatives As Revealed During Recent (fictitious) Debate You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children. Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, raises the knife, and charges. You are carrying a Glock 40, and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do? Liberal Answer: Well, that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor or oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack? Could we run away? What does my wife think? What about the kids? Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation? Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it? Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children? Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me? Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me? If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? Should I call 9-1-1? Why is this street so deserted? We need to raise taxes, have a paint and weed day and make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behaviour. This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends for a few days and try to come to a consensus. Conservative Answer BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! click.... I heard the variation of that one... that went more towards the "grass is greener" problem. "Show me a beautiful woman, and I'll show you a guy who's sick of f*$#ing her"

Can you imagine the things going through that guy's mind.... it would be funny for people to caption the picture with the patients inner thoughts... I don't know the origin of the picture, so I'm only guessing... but I'd say the picture is staged. Paramedics or ambulance attendants would have taken the hood off for initial assessments and he'd probably have some type of oxygen mask on. I think it was probably intented as previously mentioned... a reminder of how karma works. While I agree that there is nothing funny about murder or death... people in the emergency services fields (police, fire, ambulance, soldiers, etc..) try to find the lighter side of these situations to keep from going wingy.

Flyin' to NYC for a few days around St. Paddy's... Anybody recommend any "must see" or "must do's" in the Big Apple???? I'm there from a Thursday afternoon to a Sunday Afternoon. Already got a ticket to see The Pogues, A Rangers vs. Leafs game, and of course the St. Paddy's Day shenanigans.

We did a door last week and one of our guys got bit by a pit bull. The dogbuster didn't scare him off. Dog got taze'd and is scheduled for euthanasia. Bit through a Kevlar glove. I feel a little bad because I hope my dog would act the same way if a bunch of people stormed my home, but we can't have drug dealers armed with pitbulls. May have to consider gettin' me some chihuahuas... LOL
