  1. happy bday to you. we share the same
  2. 0:2:0 got my stage 7 and 8 in but due to weather i couldnt finish my AFF but next weekend i will be done then there will be at picton for all
  3. you probably have to back the data up in recovery console so no you wouldnt be able to use a cd, because loading windows could possibly corrupt the drive, thats why its giving you the message to back up, you could try and load windows and back up to CD but you run the risk of data corruption. question 2 links in with 3 if you dont have a windows xp cd you cannot get to recovery console, but if you can get your hands on one all you have to do is put it in the cd rom drive, restart the machine and it will ask if you want to "boot from cd press any key", so boot off the cd then wait while it loads all the drivers and it will come to a screen saying "press enter to setup windows xp", press enter key at this screen then press F8 to agree to the end user licence agreement. The next screen will present you saying "press R to enter recovery console", press the R key and it will take you to recovery console then ask you to select an OS so just press the number 1 key and press enter. This will bring you into recovery console then type chkdsk /r and let it run
  4. its hard to say what could be causing the problem. Probably the best thing to do would be plug in an external HDD and backup all your data that you might need to save and then try booting the system up off the windows xp cd, then go into recovery console and select the operating system using the number displayed next to it, then while you are in the recovery console type chkdsk /r and let that run, it will take about half an hour and if that fails you know the disk is F@$ked or it will find problems and attempt to repair them, once tahts done try and boot back into windows. The important thing is to backup anything you could not cope with loosing because if there are ploblems with the disk when you run a chkdsk /r it is possible you will lose data. Hope that helps
  5. congrats on finishing. I should be finishing this weekend coming Jump safe!
  6. that it true so hahahah i guess...
  7. you think your day is draging on lol i ts only 10:40am here and i want out already lol
  8. i know its not a plane but this is skill with RC at its best http://www.compfused.com/directlink/557/
  9. not a problem, you just kept me entertained for over an hour im still stuck at work for another 40 mins, so anytime
  10. YeY nice work hopefull thats the last of it you will see. Anytime
  11. lol sorry shouldnt be laughing. probably delete it using hijack this then check msconfig to see if it is in the startup items or anything dodgy looking is in there, if so get rid of it and delete the reg entrys. Alot of the time what will happen with spyware is they will hide themselves and reinstall on re-boot, so even if you delete the toolbar another install file is present and will reinstall itself as soon as its deleted or restarted.
  12. copy the log file and pm it to me i will see what you can do
  13. np's anytime, hope it helped. I used to work for MS so i still have some kind of knowledge
  14. Agreed I used to use "hijack this" at work and if you are usure what you are deleting *DONT DELETE IT* if you do decide to download and run hijack this just save it to a notepad file and copy all the info and paste it into this website http://www.hijackthis.de/ and it will diagnose what is bad and whats not
  15. reboot the machine into safe mode not with networking just normal safe mode, then uninstall from the add remove programs IF there is an entry there, also find it in the program files and delete the whole folder, then delete from the registry but make sure you back the keys up befor you delete incase you delete the wrong thing. After this has been done do an msconfig and check you startup items to see if its in there if so get rid of it. Hope that helps edit: you probably want to check msconfig befor you go deleting reg keys because if it is in msconfig you can see the dir of the reg key
  16. Not realy that far out but got droped a ways out and got a radio from the TA saying "i dont think you will make it back, your on your own.. Oh and remember to PLR." So short of the long I check my ground speed and hight then think yeah I can make it over that set of trees, came in on my rear risers and skimmed through the top of the trees and landed just on the edge of the DZ. This was my stage 3 Then I had to trudge back in 34 digree celcias nice hot aussie weather.
  17. oath that movie was sh%$ the only good bit is where he gets a steak thrown at him :)
  18. kewl thanks dave i just want to know because i am going to go out over the next few weeks and hopefully get in 15 or so jumps and i want to jump on my own gear at the boogie otherwise it will just be very expensive
  19. sorry i was not very specific in my question. What I mean is, at the moment the gear im jumping on at the moment the rig cord is on the right of the chest strap and the cutaway and secondry are the 1 cord on the left. I know there is a corse her in asutralia that you have to do for a transition to sports gear but i dont know if you have to have your A licence befor doing the test.
  20. Just wondering when do you do your transition from student gear ?? is it when you get your A licence or can you do it befor that?
