  1. And kids under about three...They can only spin the roll one way...Beyond that it don't matter, Petty pet peeves have no place lol.
  2. It's why I voted for both - and hoping I'm not alone. You're not alone...I voted both because, I don't know, nor do I care.....
  3. I use a Protec helmet similar/same as this and my dytter fits great in the foam around the ear.
  4. I wouldn't touch either of my ex's, I know where they've been since me....Hee bee gee bees.....shudder... Bitter? maybe...wiser?absolutely. And I do get along with them because I am wiser. I think...
  5. I don't know the factory recomendedfor the older J3. I jsut measured the one I keep as a spare' that I made as per sample from the previous one and it is 5 1/2 inches. I would also think that the size of the D-bag and canopy pack volume may add some variables to that length too.
  6. RIGHT ON!! Now thats the man right there!
  7. take the goat across 1st, go back and get the cabbage, drop off the cabbage and pick up the goat, then drop off the goat and pick up the wolf, drop wolf with cabbage and go back for the goat and bring him back. I couldn't think with my 13 yr old talking so I had him figure it out
  8. I understand it....been there twice I give trust, it's up to them to keep it. Nothing risked, nothing gained and nothing learned. I don't care for the show either.
  9. I spent all my summers growing up in Wendell and I never seen a tornato warning there. Of course there was only one TV channel back then :)
  10. lots of stuff already here. Type why skydive in the search bar in the upper left corner.
  11. I think most people see themselves as givers. I don't think takers always think that they are takers and generally put a high value on what they do give, so they still feel like a giver. I've seen a lot of people get some major drama with that mind set. [edit] to add I beleive I am both.
  12. Hi all, I'm planning on going to WTS this weekend and I am wondering how busy it will be and if there is anything special going on there this weekend. I looked at their calendar and it didn't say anything special. Also if there is another DZ within about 5 hours of Little Rock, AR, preferably to the south, I would like to hear about it, since I have two weekends here. Thanks
  13. I agree with this statement. Because if the respect is not there love will eventually be replaced with resentment. IMHO. Some people don't always know what their SO sees as love or respect and therfore don't know how to show in a way that will be seen. Try this: Write down respect in one column and love in the other, then you and your sit down seperately and write down what those things mean to you. Then exchange the papers and you will see how your partner (or whom ever it may be) Views these things. It's a good excercise to learn how to show some one love and respect in a manner that they will understand. Ok maybe I go off the topic a little, but it was my first though. Because to not be respected can be painful.
  14. Ha ha they are always proud of their accomplishments. I dozed off on the couch once for about 5 minutes...5 dozen eggs gone and I think only 3 or 4 eggs landed on the floor...Eggs are not fun to clean up especially when the whole kitchen is covered
  15. This might top it. When my twins were young they could talk to each other and no one could understand them. I have lots of stories... Most kids go wake up the parents when they wake up; not these two why wake up parents when you have some to entertain you already. More than once I to the mess they made in their room from taking off their diapers and seeing who stick the most poop on the wall for the longest.... Lesson: Make sure you are up before them!
  16. Well, at first I was pretty horrified.. Cause I always worry that it's pretty easy to lose a good reputation.. And I think truthfully lots of really great people *don't* get ahead (not saying I'm "great" or not getting ahead ).. So in the back of my mind there was a real fear that her tactics would work. I don't know if it was out of dignity or just cowardice that I didn't fight back.. I'm just relieved. Sounds like you did right. Sometimes defending yourself backfires. It depends on the person and situation. It's always nice to see someone hang themselves with their own rope...I've allowed people noose themselves once or twice in my day.
  17. I can spin in my chair too... WEEEE WEEE.!! Wish I was a chair... Sitting in a strange state in a strang town in a motel. I do know where the nearest strip club is though. Now I wonder what it will cost me to be a chair...
  18. Damn good think he dosen't work where I do, someone would have already printed it out and posted it on the boards... At least you care enough to talk to him.
  19. Are they really discrepencies and lies? For my current job there were several openings for different positions, so I made a resume for each position that I was applying for. This gave me an easy way of using a lot of different areas of my work history for each particular position. Worked for me.
  20. Everything above and 4 way stops when no one knows how the right of way works and sit there and try to wave everyone to go ahead of them. then there is the jerk that takes it because as one guy once said...they have brakes!
  21. Apparently everyone here lives a secret free life like me...or they have secerets that still need to be kept! Since no one here knows me, this will sound like a confession. I married the baby sitter and she was thirteen years my junior...I was already divorced at the time, but do you think anyone believes that? Its funner to 'talk show' it up. ha ha
  22. It was my sons fault. My daughter and I were in line for the Skycoaster at the local amusment park. My son didn't want to ride it and at the last minute he changed his mind and stepped up. After that all he could talk about was going skydiving, I kept telling him sure whenever your ready not thinking it would ever happen. Then one day he called me to say he had scheduled us for tandems the next day. I spent all night researching saftey stats... The next day we were on the plane...his TI asked who was going out first and he said he was...well...dad ain't riding back down after son goes out the door.......... The rest is history.
  23. Over heard a girl ask her TI after her tandem if he really used the "presearve".
