    Oh, hello? Today's my first day on the planet. I thought that lights and sirens from police cars behind me meant they wanted to race. I thought when a cop said "stop", what he really meant was, "turn and swing at me, then run away". I thought that rather than put my hands in the air, a better idea would be to put them into my pockets and pull out the small objects that might be mistaken for weapons.     Congrats on medic school. I'm finishing in 7 weeks and I can tell you with great certainty that IT SUCKS! Don't do it! Run as fast as you can in any other direction!     When I was younger, my brother used to punch me in the arm repeatedly. Not because he was mad at me, not because he wanted to hurt me, just because he wanted to see me get pissed off. I quickly learned that getting aggravated and yelling or hitting back was exactly what he wanted. The more I responded, the more he did it. Soon I learned that by ignoring him, I'd beat him at his own game and he left me alone. I'd bet this Jim Rome person is alot like my brother used to be.     Many of us are Skydive Chicago family members. We were all on the phone with others until late last night. More phone calls will happen today. The information that is posted is coming directly from SDC. Roger was very serious about safety and took every opportunity to make lessons out of mistakes. I'm sure that when the shock his death settles, an informative and educational reporting will come from SDC. Roger would find it terribly offensive if no one was able to study and learn from this event. In a world full of people, only some want to fly... isn't that crazy! --Seal

    This really sucks. Roger was an awesome man. I had the pleasure of knowing him since I started jumping. I worked for him for a season and grew to admire and respect him more than anyone else I know. I will miss him greatly and continue to honor him by living my life by some of the lessons he taught me.     Exactly why you DO NOT NEED CREDIT CARDS! The good thing about not being able to get credit is that it forces you to learn to live with cash. After a few months, they'll be beating your doors down offering you credit, but you'll already be leaps and bounds ahead of them by knowing YOU DON'T NEED THEM!
