  1. I am at jump #4, will be getting in jump #5 and #6 Sunday. I do the "Mind Dive" thing. It helps with planning and remembering WHAT to do, just not how. I would love to hit a wind tunnel - but there is not one within 3 hours of here (Ft. Leonard Wood, MO). I don't mind repeating a jump, but I can see where the expense can be daunting. I wish you the best of luck in finding your 'groove' (don't know what skydivers call it yet) Keep jumping. You obviously are into it to invest this much. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  2. Honestly, I see nothing wrong with your chest. Good to see a woman with confidence (rightfully so!) in her body. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  3. Gotta start small when you are young..... Casting call for "Stripes" Big cats are dangerous, but a little pussy never hurt anyone...... _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  4. Your expectations are correct. (and we all need guidance
  5. OK, I have a few: Here's to the four hinges of Friendship- Swearing, Lying, Stealing, and Drinking. When you swear, swear by your country; When you lie, lie for a pretty woman; When you steal, steal away from bad company; And when you drink, drink with me. Here's looking at you, Though I could pour a sea of wine, My eyes would thirst for more. - I have always enjoyed a good toast - _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  6. Mace, or Pepper Spray, CS gas, and an MRE known as "The Five FIngers Of Death." - beef frankfurters. It is an Army training thing... Kudos for Candy not liking Budweiser! _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  7. I say, if he wants to display that sort of discipline, let him. I think death or serious injury is a high price to pay for stupidity, but there are those out there who will continue to insist to exercise their God given right to be stupid. Not that he BS'd that he checked his AAD, it is the general attitude this kid had about doing his equipment checks. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  8. I like the adrenaline that fear sends through the veins. I did jump 4 this past sunday and was free-falling on my own until I pulled. Now I will be jumping with one jumpmaster instead of two. Yea, it is a dangerous sport, but you are more likely to die driving your car than skydiving. It is safer than football. Like riding motorcycles. Plenty of people buy them thinking it will be loads of fun, until they scare the shit out of themselves - then they turn around and try and sell the bike. Either you got the stuff or you don't. There is no shame in that EITHER WAY. You are the one jumping - or not. No one can tell you how to live. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  9. 94 Probe and it still runs? Good luck. May get enough for a new Main or an AAD...... I sold a 95 Eclipse GST (turbocharged) that I had modified with about 5k in go-fast goodies. New turbo, ect. ect. 35 people bid on the car and some guy came in at the last second and won it. The car Blue Booked at 3k stock. I got 6,200.00 for it. He came and got it about 5 days later and paid cash for it. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever

  11. Well, between two anyway. I did the AFF Cat B jump today (the third one). It was clear where we jumped and the wind was nice. I was floating down to the DZ and was watching lightning strike on either side of me. The wind was brisk, the clouds white, and the sun was keeping everything nice and warm. So far, this was the best jump yet. Very cool. One more load went up before we grounded for the day. The wind picked up a bit - 15-17 or so. I was able to make a nice landing - right in front of the hanger. I go on to Cat C and hopefully finish AFF in the next two days. Just thought I would share an interesting dive. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  12. Uh, well EVERY one of the bad guy's we took care of in the hospital asked for a Koran once they found out we would give them one. I have too many stories - they attack from mosques, schools, and hospitals. I experienced the culture FIRST HAND. There is so much more to the situation of Iraq, all you are getting back here is just the tip of the iceburg. I don't think we need to be over there - we are playing world police more than anything. American Soldiers are dying for a country that will not care what we did for them. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  13. Ok, let me re-phrase? Most of the terrorists in the Middle East are Muslim extremists. I have experienced terrorism firsthand - it is an ugly thing, my friend. And to think that there are so many out there...... As far as my reality is concerned, I have had more than most, less than some - too much for anyone. Decompress - interesting term. Easier said than done. Talking about it helps - thanks. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  14. Honestly, I did like CLinton - he did alot of good things. I like Bush, he asllo has done alot of good things. They both also did not so good things. Yea, I wish things the Pres did would appease all of us, or at least MOST of us more than bother us - but I don't see that being possible. Hey, it really is my pleasure to serve - you really don't have to thank me. Seeing threads like this one are all the thanks I need - to see people living their life the way they want to, and to exercise those freedoms that most people take for granted and too many that don't have those freedoms. Peace _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  15. So what if Clinton messed around - Kennedy did, so did Washington. It is just in this day and age, more people know about it because of the internet. People will be human, it is what they do with their humanity that shoulld matter. What about Jim Baker, the Evangelist? Look at what he did. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone...... _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  16. Well, yea, it is splitting hairs - think this over--- But one foot in a bucket of water, a metal one. Attach the negative lead to the bucket. Then since the fucker is grounded - you can goose him until he sings like a castrated canary........ My mind is not a place you want to go - this is one of the TAME thoughts..... _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  17. Botellines - Korea, Germany, Iraq, Kuwait, France, Canada, Jamaica, Grand Caymons, Mexico, Yea, I have been around. My judgement may be biased, and I am sure that we can argue until we are blue in the face. Every time I have been gone, it has always been great to come home. No matter where I have been. My e-penis may not be as big as yours because I get nothing out of attacking others, so go lightly - I may just curse you with a wicked case of hemrhoids........ _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  18. Freedom to speak out is a good thing - taking it too far is not. Go ahead and bash the Pres, he was VOTED for - if you are unhappy, do some homework, and pay attenting next time you cast your ballot. No one Pres is going to make everyone happy. America has its bad points, it has its good points. I promise that NO OTHER COUNTRY has as many good points as the USA, some may have less bad points, but there truly is no land like the USA. There is more to life than being a close minded, flower weaving, bed wetting, barbie doll dressing hippie that smells bad and smokes pot all day. Always running their mouth at how bad this country is - but doing nothing to change it. Life is too short to get caught up in a debate that will only serve to get you all hot and bothered without accomplishing anything. Remember this, if not anything else: the government you voted for sent us over to Iraq. Soldiers are dying over there. We did not ask to go, we were ordered to. It was not a decision we made. Now, I did volunteer to join the Army, and with that comes the risk of combat, but I was willing to accept that risk. It had nothing to do with the Pres, the government, the money for college, or glory. It is personal for me, nothing more. Someone has to watch the wall, right? _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  19. MOst all terrorists are Muslims. This is a FACT They are mostly male, are of Arab descent, are uneducated, poor - really poor, and would be willing to shoot an RPG at an American for a measley 100.00. People, Iraq is an UGLY place. People die there every day, horrible, painful deaths. WOmen and children are targeted by terrorists - I took care of burned 18 month old babies because they had the misfortune to be in the next car over from a car-bomb. One little girl, was forced to stand in front of the door when Troops were raiding the house by here father. See, daddy was a IED planting bad guy - and he was found out with the help of one of his angey neighbors. Well, half her face was blown off, her mother was killed - the troops had NO IDEA they were behind the door, mind you. We put her back together and brought her to America for facial reconstruction - your tax dollars at work. I used to see her EVERY day - becasue I was the FIRST nurse she saw when she woke up. It broke my heart seeing her every day. You see, she was missing all her teeth on the right side of her face and her cheek was gone as well. Her jaw was held together by a metal brace that was bolted to the side of her head. We put towels on her shoulder because she was unable to swallow her saliva. It took me so long to get her to smile - she hid in her aunts clothes when people came to see her. I will never forget 'Lissa, she was such a cute kid. Her father was killed later, from what I was told, the IED he was trying to set up detonated on him. At least that is what I was told.... _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  20. I got back in January from Baghdad. I was with the 31st Combat Support Hospital, where I worked as a Critical Care Trauma Nurse. People say so many things, unfortunately, those that speak out the loudest against the military and press for peace just don't understand - and would never join the military. People tell me all the time how they are "Anti-War". I am not "Pro-War", but we need a standing military. Who do you think is going to stop the enemy from blowing up YOUR house? Bad people have to be KILLED before they kill, period. Those political loudmouths would have a real quick change of heart if THEIR personal safety was threatened or if a loved one was killed as a result of terrorist activity. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  21. I look at it this way--- The American People vote for their government, that government dictates how the military is structured, trained, ect. ect.... If you don't like the way things are, do some homework before you punch your next ballot. I have 9 years in the Army - and I have been given my fair share of dumb orders, and seen some real stupid stuff. Overall, there are those of us who keep it together and get the right things going in the right direction. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  22. I gotta get a piece of this: 1) Ron Jeremy BEFORE the make-up.... 2) Fly with this thing.....??? How am I going to land!?!? 3) You are only supposed to take ONE Viagra??? 4) Bruce Wayne's failed attempt at actually turning into a bat........ _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  23. Oh, I am divorcing the wife - sooner the better. And it is all good. No worries, mon. I would like to find a wind tunnel, sounds like a great thing to practice and learn on. What is a SIM? I like freefall, maybe not going to be into freeflying as much as canopy piloting, though. I have alot of jumps to do, so there is time yet that I will have to find my 'niche', if you will. Thank you, and it is MY pleasure to serve. Someone has to 'watch the wall', right? _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  24. I was 'Over There' for a year. As far as I am concerned, I can deal with the occasional person who has a prob with it. I worked in the Hospital in the Green Zone in Baghdad. I took care of the enemy as much as I took care of American Troops. I was shot at, mortered, lost count of the rockets that hit the hospital. I worked 15+ hour days for weeks on end with little time off to rest. I have used lethal force and have had my life in danger more times than I EVER care to recall. I hated the enemy and what they did to people. For those with rose colored glasses on, it is a VERY UGLY PLACE. People die horrible deaths EVERY day. The enemy kills innocent women and children - to include their OWN families. I saw the worse kind of human suffering, and I have problems keeping the images, smells, and sounds out of my head. If you have not been there, you do not understand. I used that quote BEFORE it was on 'Over There'. I paid my dues, and unless the mods think the sig is out of line - it stays until I change it. I also found out the wife was messing around on me while I was over there. I need no sympathy or kind words, thank you. After getting kicked in the nuts like that, it is taking me some time to pull them down out of my throat and put them back where they belong. Which is why I took up skydiving. Something I always wanted to do. I will be 33 next week and I have alot of living to make up for. I have found the greatest thing to do with my spare time. end rant---- Thanks for all the advice and direction. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  25. I did AFF jumps 1 and 2 almost two weeks ago. I was hooked from the start. I will finish AFF and go on the get an "A" license. Like all my other hobbies I have had, I was ready to get everything I needed to skidive - rig, suit, everything THAT SAME DAY I JUMPED!!! Turns out, unlike other hobies, you can't do that. I was in such a frenzy of excitement I wanted to jump right it (no pun intended). I could not wait to fly my OWN gear. Well, I have chilled since then - thanks to the advice from this forum. I will wait until the time is right (God give me patience, but HURRY!) to buy my own rig. I do want to buy my own jumpsuit - something about wearing other peoples clothes that have been sweated (or worse) in. I got an altimeter and some gloves. I am a Nurse and like to keep the hands in good shape. The altimeter I got is a Altimaster Neptune (sp?) - I am sure it will be more than enough for me. So, here is to ENJOYING being a noob/student, learning the right things the right way - and loving every minute of it! Cheers, Steve _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
