SD Temple is much closer to Austin than Ssn Marcos. As far as I know they have a Caravan for the winter, plus 2 182's for slow days. They jump everyday weather permitting. Great vibe !! Not to hurt your feelings Nick, bur your recollection of basic training doesn't sound much different than infrantry OSUT in the early 80's. Except they didn't recycle as much. If you didn't cut it they sent you back to mama. Fro what I've seen it was back prior to the sixties when the real abuses occurred. I f that's what you want to call it. If you screwed back in those days the DI would just punch the shit out of you till you got it right. I spent most of my childhood wishing my old man had never served in the Marine Corps. is that all? I load mastered the CARVAIR at the WFFC. 2 passes of 55-60 jumpers each. And as far as I know, the only ones that landed off were the individual jumpers in the last groups, that tracked hard, THE WRONG WAY. Maybe they should have had you on hand for all the special plane loads. In '06 they were putting jumpers out on the other side of I-57 with the DC-9. I know cause I was one of 'em.
