  1. Thank you. I did contact AAD and they just said to send it back. My question had more to do with how many others have experienced this and how AAD handled it. I am hoping that their customer service is as good as L&Bs (the best ever), but I haven't heard a single thing about how they handle issues like this (turnover time, etc.) _________________________________________________ "People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. 2. This morning when I turned my Vigil on, it started to go through it's normal sequence: Battery OK, Cutter OK, then it got to Controller and it said error and turned itself off. This unit is less than 2 years old and has only about 350 jumps on it (I am the second owner and it is in my turn rig). Has anyone gotten this message before? If so, what was wrong with the controller and how did Vigil go about servicing it? Were you charged because the warranty is only good for one year? Any answers are greatly appreciated! ________________________________________________ "People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. 3. LOVE IT! Been having so many moments like this in my life lately too...something weird is going on with the universe :-) ________________________________________________ "People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. 4. Where exactly is the DZ? They advertised beach landings in front of Carlos and Charlies so I am assuming they run a shuttle? Where are some good places to stay? Is any place within walking distance of the DZ or do you need to rent a car? Were there enough people to keep the plane turning? Thanks! _________________________________________________ "People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. But, the self is not something that one finds. 5. My husband and I are thinking about going to the Ixtapa Easter Boogie. Has anyone ever been to one of the boogies there or planning on going to this one. I would like a little more info which seems to be a problem with the language barrier (the emails I have been sent have not really answered any of my questions). Please PM me! Thanks! ________________________________________________ "People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. But, the self is not something that one finds. 6. We are going on TUESDAY (the 9th)...not Thursday. Right now we have 3 people who are doing 5 flights each and at least three more who are definitely doing one or two flights (those are the non-jumpers), but we are trying to convince them that the five flight deal makes more sense $$$wise. OOO...Peter just emailed me and looks like he is in too! The more the merrier "People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. But, the self is not something that one finds. 7. Unfortunately, I won't have any time to make it to Mesquite this time, but a bunch of us are hitting the tunnel on Tuesday evening (the 9th). It is kind of pricey...we are doing 5 three minute flights each for $175 each (the only way to even make it worth it...they want $70 for a single three minute flight...yeah right), but we'd love for you to join us. It's been a long time since Miami If you can't make it to the tunnel, we should definitely hook up for dinner one night! ______________________________________________ "People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. 8. No, this was not the movie that I am producing. Mine is going to be shot documentary style. This was a regular adult movie with skydiving in it. The focus was not on skydiving. It was simply used as a means to add something interesting and different to a movie about a sex slave ring (girls are brought to the headquarters on tandems). This was a movie that a friend of mine did. I was in the movie and helped her set up some of the skydiving stuff, but that is it. The TI in the pic you showed is Scotty, but he is not the TI that took Vanessa (Scotty took Lexi). 4 girls did tandems and Voodoo and I did 2 jumps. Vanessa got scraped up because when she was told, "legs up," she had a brain fart and lifterd her feet up to her butt. Instead of heels - butt, her landing was knees, leg, hands, or something like that (it is actually in the movie). Hope this clears things up for you all! :-) _______________________________________________ "People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. 9. Mark Mark actually bought Skydive Temple in Texas and has the PAC there now. Taft purchased a Super Otter from Monterey Bay about two and a half months ago and we have been flying that every weekend and some weekdays. I didn't mind the PAC at all especially with the extra step and handhold bar outside of the plane. Our only rules for launching big groups was to tell the pilot if you planned on putting more than 4 outside of the door so he / she could increase airspeed. I do love our Otter, but would gladly jump a PAC again --------------------------------------------------- "People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. 10. Nowhere did I say this vid had sex in it. And when I am talking about "filming style" I am talking about the reality aspect of it. This was a free vid shot for a free site for free....big difference there. Of course the skydiving is going to be on a different level (the majority of people in these jumps are sub 200 jump level...not so with the movie this summer). My husband edited this project on his laptop during down times on set. The movie this summer will be edited on AVID. I wasn't expecting people to actually think that the movie this summer was going to be exactly like this...just get a vibe from it. If you were expecting to see sex and were dissappointed when you didn't, sorry if you felt your time was wasted I think it is funny that people who already bagged the idea and said they would never watch it in another thread, were the first to watch and "comment" on this vid. HHHmmmm.... what could their intentions have been going in to it? You know what and who I mean. _________________________________________________ "People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. But, the self is not something that one finds. 12. Oh, man...I think that is cheesier than any movie I have ever done Rest assured that our movie will have NONE of that type of dialogue. It is pretty funny that you named the DZ owner Mark Woods...there really is a Mark Wood in my biz! ________________________________________________ "People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. 13. Thank you again for all the PMs showing both support for the movie and interest in being in it. I really wasn't expecting this to create such a debate, but I really believe in balance in the world. Without people who disagree with something, there wouldn't be ones who agree with it either. For every person who hates the idea of this, there is at least one who is anxiously awaiting it. I am not going to continue to justify my project (everyone is entitled to their opinion) but I will continue to answer any questions that may come up regarding it. Feel free to post here or PM me! _________________________________________________ "People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. But, the self is not something that one finds. 14. "Porn makes more money than mainstream Hollywood." That quote seems to be in everyone's head. Unfortunately 95% of that money is made by the big guys (Vivid, Wicked, Digital Playground). The small guys are lucky to make $10,000 over cost on a movie after one year of sales and resales. If my movie makes even $15,000 over cost but brings 30 people out to do tandems and 20 people to complete AFF, skydiving has already made more money than me. But, as I mentioned in my earlier post...this isn't about the money. Our only goal is to recoup our loss and make enough money to make the next one. For us, this is about the creative process. I don't want to make more money than the big guys, I just want to put out a better movie. "People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. 16. You hit the nail on the head Lisa Marie: the stories are lame and the acting is usually bad. That is the exact reason why we are not shooting this like a "regular" porn movie. I have to disagree with you on what brings people to the sport. While I agree that events like JFTC bring attention to the sport (not to mention support a wonderful cause), I think that often times, it is the visual that stirs something in one's soul. When my husband and I go to work on an adult film set (behind or in front of the camera), we always bring some of our most recent videos. In the past few months alone, we have brought a bunch of tandems and 3 AFFs to our small DZ. These individuals got interested from watching our footage. You say that "people talking about our passion" brings people in. Well, despite how I feel about it, I do have fans, many of whom have followed my career since 1999. A large majority of these fans will buy any new movie I am involved in. While the average skydiver may come into contact with x amount of different people in a day, I can reach a significantly larger number. I have fans who never even thought of skydiving before, who email me after reading an interview I did, and decided to go do a tandem. They thank me for the experience when all I did was mention a love of mine in an interview. You mention the disgrace of the sexual aspect of skydiving. I am sorry that you have had experiences that have led you to feel this way. I personally have not, despite the fact that people know what I do for a living, something that could easily make me a target for harrassment. My personal view of sex is that it should be empowering to women. The sex in our movie will be both female motivated and dominated. While I realize that I am not going to change your mind, and you are absolutely entitled to whatever personal opinion you have, I will ask you one favor. Because you are a skeptic, I would love to get your opinion of the finished product. When the movie is complete, may I send you a copy in order to find out if it changes your opinion at all? ----------------------------------------------------------- "People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. 17. That is an interesting comment. I thought that adult entertainment "cashed in" as you call it on the basic human sex urge. Have you ever watched an adult film? Was it gonzo style (all sex) or did it have a plot and a story? If the latter is the case, did it hold your attention (i.e. did you watch it from start to finish or did you just "finish" and then turn the movie off?) To be perfectly honest with you, of the approximately 350 adult movies I have starred in, I can probably name 20 that I really felt kept the viewers attention and provided some sort of entertainment outside of the sex. I cannot think of a single person (skydiver or not) who has watched my husband's skydiving footage or mini documentaries that has not enjoyed the experience. Now, if we can take that entertainment value and add the one thing to it that everyone does and enjoys, I don't see how that is a bad thing. Sure, we hope to make enough money off of the first movie to be able to make a second one. Yes, we hope that people enjoy the movies enough to want to keep buying them and maybe even participate in future ones. Yes, we want to combine two of the things that we love to do and make sure that not only the most perverted skydiver could enjoy it, but also your average married couple from middle America. To me, watching skydiving videos is like masturbation for the mind. Why not combine that with the real thing? And, if our movie gets a few more people in this country interested in jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, I will feel that I have made a contribution to the sport and community that has welcomed me with open arms. Seems to me like that would put money back into the sport...in other words more skydivng dollars. __________________________________________________ "People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. 18. I promise that it will hold your attention better than either of those two movies
  19. oh, it's going to have alot more than that in it! "People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. But, the self is not something that one finds. It is something that one creates"- Thomas Szasz
  20. Thank you to everyone who has taken part in the poll so far. The answers are as I expected. I think that we will focus our marketing efforts on a website that will sell the movie as well as a tour to different boogies and DZs to sell the movie in person. To everyone who wrote with interest in participating, I will be getting back to you in the next few days. The movie will be shooting this summer when the days are long and it is warm enough to jump naked...exact dates will be determined soon. Kepp the poll answers and PMs coming! 21. Ok, so here is the deal: my husband, Voodoo and I are making an adult movie this summer that combines sex, skydiving, a funny story, and some other crazy stuff. We are trying to figure out how we want to go about distributing it (i.e. a traditional distribution deal with a middleman who sells to adult stores or do our own marketing via the internet or direct sales at boogies, etc.). Also, we are casting for both male and female skydivers / tandem instructors who would like to be in the movie in a sex scene. You must get to southern california on your own, but we will pay for all jumps, your required STD testing, and pay you a normal scene rate for your participation. Any bands / musicians who would like to have their music featured in the movie are welcome to submit it as well. There is no pay for the use of their music, but great exposure and the chance to use parts of the movie in a music video. Thanks in advance for participating in the poll! 22. Or if you don't want to do the tent / bunkhouse thing, stay at The Caprice Motel in Taft. If you mention that you skydive at Taft, they will give you a rate of 39 dollars a night. Its nothing fancy, but its a clean place to crash and it is withing walking distance of the DZ and across the street from a pretty good diner. If you'll be there this weekend, introduce yourself. (that's me in the attached pic) Oh, and one last thing.....WE GOT A SUPER OTTER! ------------------------------------------------------- "People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. 23. Oh, one thing I forgot...if you do move here, and decide to jump at Taft, PM me for the back way. It cuts about 15 minutes off of the drive and you can avoid the speed trap road that everyone gets nailed on on the way there
