Thanks! I’m probably going to get there a little late. I have a lot to finish up at work and Accounting is killing me for end of months paperwork that I haven’t even finished since last month because my desk keeps piling up. In addition to that, I have to find time in the middle of the day to meet with my advisor and explain to them why I’ve been slacking and then help my co-worker with her financial report essays for her final this afternoon! I'm their ride or they are my ride....I know, sometimes I just storm out and drive off. Especially when my best friend has a long distance call from her mom overseas.....or some job stuff!!! Well, also because I am a nice friend. To save money I eat ramen noodles or tuna (with chopped celeries, boiled eggs, onions, pepper and salt, sometimes finely chopped pickles) with crackers or bread. I can’t afford steak like most people…. Oh, if you live in the Houston area, there’s this sushi place on Bellaire called Hokkaido And they have all you can eat miso soup or red bean soup! It’s very clean and the sushi Is delicious. The price a lot cheaper or decent compared to Uptown Sushi or something! ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- If you want to see the rainbow, you gotta put up with the storm. One thing that pisses me off really bad is when I’m with someone and they start talking on the cellphone… not 5 minutes…not 30 minutes…but 1 or 2 hours while I wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m a really nice person and it’s hard to make me upset when I am am….you better start running the other direction. A friend I know, he has three roommates and they all work in the same company, two girl and 1 other guy and they are lazzzzzy. He does everything. They never take out the trash, feed the cat, clean the dishes, clean the house or put up the groceries!!! I don’t know why he puts up with it, he said one day when he’s fed up, they are all going out. ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- If you want to see the rainbow, you gotta put up with the storm. I usually eat salads if I feel like eating healthy. Cesar salad usually. I hate veggies so I have to force myself to eat it. My favorite is turkey burgers. I make my patties thick and season it with Finely chopped onions, a bit of green onions, Salt, and pepper. I grill these until the juices Run clear but do not overcook it. I also prepare some spinach sautéed with fresh garlic. I also sauté some mushrooms with salt and pepper. I add the sautéed mushrooms and spinach, with freshly Diced roma tomatoes and lettuce on buttered toasted burger buns, between the girlled turkey pattie and I never forget to put Helman mayonaise, it's sooo good. It’s delicious with ice tea especially on a nice sunny day with family or friends! ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- If you want to see the rainbow, you gotta put up with the storm. Hooray for your first jump and plane ride! I made my first jump two weekends ago also! I’m having the same problem, trying to figure out how I’m going to afford it. It will pay off in the long run once you you finish your STP training and get your License. I’m cutting back on eating out, spending, shopping, etc. When I first Started photography, I spent A LOT of money also but it paid off later on. ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- If you want to see the rainbow, you gotta put up with the storm. Hi! It’s the kewlest thing in the world! I did my first tandem two weeks ago! Right now I am saving up to start my STP training!!! I’m sooooo addicted already! I can’t stop thinking about it! You should definitely go for it! It will be sooo awesome! Hopefully the place you’re going to have a super otto plane instead of a Cessna. I am a Christian, I have been for almost 10 years and let me just say this, people will try to box you up under a label and put you on this fake pedestal. I became a Christian on my own accord after doing my own searching. In the past, people have tried to tell me about Jesus but I blatantly refused, considering my mom was Muslim, my dad is Buddhist, and I used to be atheist. No one can make the decision for you; you choose your own path, no one, not even your friends or family can get you to Heaven, the only way is through Jesus Christ. Unless you believe in some other religion, I don’t know how to answer that but I just know that the bible tells us that is the only way. I think there is a big difference between believing in God and knowing God. Christianity is not a religion as what many people call it, but it is more of a “relationship” with Jesus Christ, hence “Christ” ianity. One thing I know is, it doesn’t matter if people say they believe in God or not, it makes them no perfect than everyone else. No one is perfect and people will judge no matter what. That’s where grace comes in. Christians are sinners saved by the grace of God and one who accept Jesus as their Lord. Let your parents think what they think because this is your own life. The best advice is to read the bible and ask God to give you wisdom to understand His words. There is a difference between just reading the bible and understanding it. My professor is an atheist and he can quote the bible back to back. You have to open your heart to want to understand it. One more thing, if there is a Heaven, then there is a Hell. If there is good, then there is evil. There is life, there is death. Does your parents think you're going to hell because you skydive? Or they are unhappy at how you live your life. You can worship God anywhere but the purpose for church is for you to learn more and hear about God's message, the bible and also fellowship and get encouragement from other believers. Also church is important too because if you have questions, there will be people who can help explain things. I wish I had your problem, my parents wish I stop going to church. I know God exists. I haven’t seen God but I know God is as real as the sunrise this morning and the air that I breathe. Faith is the evidence to things unseen….I don’t see the wind but I can feel it and know it’s there. I don’t need to see God to know God is real. I’ve had a very interesting religious background. My mom was raised in a muslim family and my dad is Buddhist, when they got married, she converted to Buddhism. So I was a Buddhist growing up. There were some stuff that made me question a lot of things and I wasn’t satisfied with the religion I grew up in so I started looking into different religions. I became a mormon for about a year and did not like the doctrine so I became an atheist and started studying a lot of other religions and beliefs, whether it be considered dark or good. I was going through lot when I was a teenager and was upset at God (didn’t know if he was real or not) but needed someone to take the blame so God was my punching bag for all everything that was bad in my life. I know people used to tell me about Jesus but I never believed in him. Well, I still remembered that one night when I wanted to take my own life but wanted to give God one more chance. I said “Jesus, if you’re real, I challenge you to change my life.” That instant I felt different inside as if I was fulfilled and all the bitterness and emptiness I felt were filled by this complete feeling of love. I thought when I woke up the next morning I was still going to feel crappy but I didn’t. I felt totally different, as was my whole outlook on life. It was as if I was given a new life. Accepting Jesus into my life is the best decision I have made in my life. So, that’s how I became a Christian. Even after 10 years, it’s not easy when your whole family still despises you for the change and it is considered an insult to your culture. I feel really blessed to live in America where I can be a Christian and not get jailed or killed for it. :) ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- If you want to see the rainbow, you gotta put up with the storm. I hate Mondays...in fact I do not like Mondays-Thursdays…I like only Friday and Saturday because Sunday I have to think about Monday…. Sometimes I get mad at everyone in my house because I can’t find my keys especially when I’m in a hurry but after 30 minutes of screaming and searching, I realize I have it in my hands….. I’ve had days when I show up to work really late because I mixed up the weekdays with weekends….. My brain is so fried sometimes, not from drugs, booze, or party but from stress and too much going on. That’s why I think skydiving is a good hobby for me.

[email] I don't think that's dumb... you wanna know what's dumb? my first two years of college, i refused to get student loans. So instead, when i was a freshman in college, i applied for a ton of credit cards because they were giving away free goodies and i charged some of my tuition, books, expenses, etc and i haven't used it in more than two years and i'm still trying to pay it off.... ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- If you want to see the rainbow, you gotta put up with the storm.
