  1. Come out to Byron this weekend, it should hold you over until Eloy. I'll be riding down to Eloy on the 26th, and be there through the 1st.
  2. I just requested that my bank reverse the charges, and ordered a liquid lens 3 from Cookie Composites, which I should have done in the first place. I had great service from them when I ordered my helmet.
  3. :2:0 Sketchy weather, but got in one full altitude and one hop and pop, both with Ego, on Saturday. Mr. Fry, I'm getting jealous, I need to start looking into that whole pilots license thing a bit more seriously. It seems all of the cool kids are getting them these days. Actually, I've picked up a few books from the FAA and started reading, to get a head start.
  4. Actually, I ordered a .3, since I'll do most of my video flying in close, at least initially. I don't mind things taking a while to ship in the case that they are out of stock, but being completely inaccessible to a customer is frustrating to say the least.
  5. I'd love to bitch, assuming I could actually get ahold of someone.
  6. I ordered a lens from Royal Lens last Monday, and paid for overnight shipping. Not hearing whether or not it has shipped, I sent an e-mail late last week and received no response. I tried calling just now the two numbers on the Royal Lens website, the first had a full mailbox, and the second was disconnected. My credit card was charged within a day of my order. Does anyone know what is up with Royal Lens? Has anyone successfully ordered from them recently? I would hate to have to cancel my order and have my credit card company reverse the charges, as I've heard great things about Royal Lens' products.
  7. I'm gonna have take my name off the list. Work is simply not giving me any slack. I have to work an overnight shift on Christmas Eve for christ sake! ugh. Who knows maybe i'll be able to make it out for a day or two but i have to be back at work on the 29th and then work through the new year. WOOHOO!!
  8. lots:4:2 Great weather at Byron on Saturday. First couple of jumps with my shiny new camera helmet (I need to order a wide angle lens, stat!). First tandem lurk (may or may not be related to the "lots" above )
  9. I would head up to Berzerkely, but I'm on pager duty. Have fun!
  10. 1/2:5:0 1/2 because, well, I'm trying to remember how that whole dating thing works, but I'm having good luck so far, laying ground work and all that. Five jumps at Byron on Friday, 4 freefly jumps and 1 speedstar. On pager duty for the rest of the weekend.
  11. 1. Get less sucky at freeflying 2. Start camera flying (helmet arrives in a week!) with the immediate goal of getting a foot or hand briefly in frame by the end of the year 3. Make some BASE jumps with the other NorCal locals when my rig arrives (in two weeks!) 4. Don't break myself
  12. Congrats! Let me know when you get licensed, and I'd be happy to jump with you.
  13. That was great. Thanks for sharing.
  14. Hey, didn't I -just- see you!? 0:7:0 Various belly, freefly (slowly getting better), and tracking jumps at Byron.
  15. I'm going to have to disagree slightly with one of Bonnie's statements. There is nothing wrong with camel toe.
  16. 0:0:0 I was on call for work, so I had to stay within 20 minutes of the office. What the hell do normal people do on weekends again?
  17. I suppose I shouldn't admit that I wasn't pied for my 100th.
  18. Being single means I can spend both Saturday and Sunday at the dropzone without getting yelled at. Didn't get pied though.
  19. :12:0 Lead a 14-way tracking dive for my 200th skydive, as well as a bunch of other fun jumps.
  20. I agree completely. Being a guy who skydives every weekend means putting dating on the back burner. Most of the single skydiving women I know won't date another skydiver due to the potential for drama and awkwardness. Most non-skydiving women want you to commit a large portion of your weekends to them. I've had more than one relationship go south due to skydiving. The price one pays for such a privilege is more than the cost of the jump ticket.
  21. Seeing my chest is not nearly as bad as what we had to endure when you did your strip tease!
  22. True, you didn't, but you know where to find me. I practically live at Byron on the weekends.
  23. That speedstar was money. It was definitely one of my favorite jumps from the boogie, and the spinning at break off was a blast! I still need to become a cunning linguist though.
  24. I'll probably stop in and watch the shenanigans.
