  1. I hope I'm reading this wrong, but just in case..... Do you think that an rsl will save you if you were involved in a canopy collision? That is one time and place I don't want my reserve to come out immediately. Disclaimer: Look at my jump numbers! Edited to add: I'm not giving advice here but more asking to insure my own security in the future and I'm sure some more experienced people will correct me if I'm wrong At a low altitude you want a parachute over your head. No doubt about that! But is there any possibility that immediate reserve deployment will not assure another entanglement of canopies after a canopy collision?
  2. I took a staticline course in Denmark and wasn't taught plf either... When I went to Spain to take an aff course I was taught plf. And am very happy to know how to do it.... except I appear to be the only one to use it where I jump in Denmark.... the others know how to stand up their landings....and I always plf....a bit embarrassing
  3. I know what you mean! I did my AFF in Spain and pulled at 5500-6000 feet. When I got back to jump in Denmark, I was told that I was not allowed to pull any higher than 1 km., 1.1 km max! That's almost half the altitude! Going down it was like: That ground's coming up pretty fast...
  4. Hi, Well...been lurking around for some weeks now....so probably about time to say the official "Hi"
  5. I'm not thinking of jumping without an altimeter....I'm just getting scared of jumping..... How often does it happen that an altimeter doesn't work?
  6. Hi! Congrats on going to Lillo. It's a great place. Did my AFF there in june. My advice would be: Try if you can to get Pablo as your instructor. He was my instructor and he was great, very laid back (I'm sure the others are good instructors too, but I know Pablo is) And then: Just enjoy (hard not to... )
  7. Arms, chest, shoulders, eyes and (most importantly) a cute smile
  8. Hi, I just got an ileostomy and am not allowed to jump for at least 3 months But I very much want to pick it up after those 3 months. I was just wondering....are there anyone out there who have jumped with an ileostomy and if so, are there any special precautions I should take?
  9. I went there to do my AFF and I'm going back there for sure!
