Hey everyone, My summer here in Colorado is almost up and I'll be driving back to school in Michigan for my last year. On the way back, I was thinking of stopping off at a few new DZ's and making some jumps. Up on that list was Skydive Chicago. I visited last year on the same trip, but was still a student and didn't have the balls to jump in a new place w/ no license. If anyone from SDC or Chicagoland or anywhere else in the states mentioned above can help me out or tell me DZ's that wouldn't be too far out of the way, have a great atmosphere during jumping and after, i'd appreciate it. I will be traveling along I-80 pretty much the entire way there. Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----

Does anyone else get really amped just prior to working out???

I should start taking pics, i do hear they help and keep you motivated. I should also log my weights and what machines, but I felt like carrying a notebook (even a small one) would be tedious. No i get amped up too, but it also depends on what mood i'm in as well. My music helps. I find that now if I dont workout with music, I can't focus. If I lose motivation, i regain it by looking at my goals and what I wanna look like... Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707---- -
yeah dude you'll be fine. Just call the DZ first and make sure and usually if its a problem, they'll leave the decision up the TM. I did my tandem 3 years ago and I weigh 235 and the limit is 210 here in Colorado. I am also 6'5 and work out 3x a week, so he had no problem taking me and I had a blast as did he... For the most part....basically...although some stores and online sites are getting better at having them For the first time the other day, i went bowling w/ some friends and they went up to a size 20!! Does it have anything to do with night jumps? Hahahahaha....well night jumps should be fun....not only won't you be able to see me, but my black jumpsuit will give me added guise of invisibility. I had the same fear when I was getting my A and had to do my two h&p's from 5.5 and 3.5 K. Reason is, for static line, you guys start low, so it wasn't new to you. For us, the idea of getting out of plane and pulling at pull altitude and then lower than that doesnt seem inviting to us...at least for me... I saved my H&P's for my last few jumps. I even got my checkout dive done before them too...its just part of progression...now they're no big deal... But frankly, I enjoyed AFF, and even though it was costly, I feel like on each level I learned so much and that my instructors made sure I was solid on every point before they moved me to the next level. I wanna do the same when I become an instructor Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
