Gang o DZ'ers... Heard varying things on the "dropzones" section to asking here - what's the story with fun jumping in Vegas? I'm out there for four days next week for CES, and am wondering if it's worth taking my rig along for a day of blowing off the show and jumping. If so, I need to rent a car. But then comes the question, how long of a drive am I going to face if I'm a fun jumper? Yes, I know if I'm a tandem I can get picked up at my hotel and driven out to the drop zone, complete with several hookers. But fun jumpers? Anywhere in Vegas, or does that expand to "nevada?" By the time you got in, your breath was knocked out of you from the cold. Once you stood up in the water, it was all good. You just kept shouting and moving to ignore the cold. Wasn't THAT terrible. About 47 degrees. Takes your breath away, but then it's kinda nice. And because it was in the low 50's air temp-wise, when we got OUT, we were instantly warmer.

Shopping in the local supermarket near my apartment this evening to get a few things for tonight, and I notice the older woman in front of me unable to reach a can on the shelf above her height.
