Oh, please. Far from a hijack - I want one of those rowers, too!! I just bought a bike - gotta switch up and cross-train this year or I'll blow my knees out long before the marathon. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

PIA Symposium 2007 - DZ.com Roll Call!

yeah, well, you know, hookd on phonics, and all that. Look forward to meeting you, as well. :) _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues." -
Yeah, that brutally sucked. 1:53:38. Ugh, ugh, ugh. Warmed up by mile 2, by mile 6 I had a layer of frost on my back/shoulders where the sweat would wick through the clothing. Was kind of cool, actually. So it's noted. 1:53 for the first half of the season. Goal by September: 1:38-1:40ish. It's doable. (Now the real reason for the DZ.C Belly-Off contest comes out. :) :)

So then make the requirements that the pictures need to be done the same way - if they're planning on shaving in the after pic, they must be shaved in the before pic, etc. She's right, guys. This isn't gonna be a GNC commercial. There will be rules to how the photos can be taken. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

All the DZ Women. Come April or so, we'll put together a DZ Women panel, and they'll have the final choice. I think SkyMama should lead the panel of judges, but that's her call. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

OK. Gonna put together a list of everyone in, and we'll go from there. Sometime in the last week of January, you need to take a photo of yourself with a current newspaper. This is gonna be fun. :) -Peter _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

So I was running the park loop today, cursing how "taking it easy" since the marathon resulted in a quick gain of eight pounds, when it occured to me... Tons of DZ.C "Let's lose weight because we're chicks and it'll be a bonding thing to do together and then we can watch lifetime TV" posts exist, but there's not one guy post for a similar thing. I've seen some of us. We could all stand to drop a few. Me included, most definitely. So here's my challenge... Let's create a guys only Belly-Off challenge. It's January 16th. Whoever wants to be in it: It starts Feb 1 and goes until May 1. We can do it one of two ways: Challenge being photographic, or numbers based. Photographic: We all line up to submit photos - they have to have something to prove the date of around now... then we shoot again May 1. Women of DZ.com vote on the winner. (I personally prefer this option.) Numeric: We have ourselves photographed on a scale, or with tape measures. Most pounds/inches lost wins. Doesn't ring 100% true though, because some of us have less to lose than others. Personally, I'm all for the vote from the women of dz.com, but it means we all have to have the balls to show ourselves the way we are now. If we do this right, we'll be smokin' by the time summer rolls around on the DZ. Once a week voluntary check-ins, support from each other as needed. Winners get... Well, whatever we decide. We can donate jump money, beer money, jump tickets, whatever. Donations for the winner are accepted from both the men and women of DZ.C. The true gift, though, is the gift to yourself of how great we'll all look at the start of summer. I'll kick it off - I'll throw in $150.00 to whomever wins if we do this. And I'm not going to participate - I'll be the interested observer. I'll take the job of posting the weekly update, etc. I'll participate in losing the weight, but won't be a part of the actual contest - to keep it fair and all that jazz. So... We can do this in a number of ways. First thought - Let's first see how many DZ.C guys want to do this. Then we'll go from there. Start date: Feb. 1. So... Guys? Anyone? _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

For those who live within range, is ANYTHING better than Fresh Direct?

Because contrary to the popular belief of people from NY, the rest of the country doesn't revolve around NY or NYC? Yeah, that's probably it. A) That's why I said "for those who live within range." B) Texas... Texas... Oh, the place we fly over when we're going to Mexico, right? _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues." -

Fresh Direct. Wonderful wonderful. Kozmo and UrbanFetch finally done right. (Although those rocked in their own ways, too.) I do love it so. BEST part is the "Repeat Order" function. Find one order that works, and you're done in 10 seconds. Plus, delivery is only $4.95. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues." -

I nearly got arrested once after a random search for asking the guy who did it if he would at least "buy me a drink, or if not, use some vaseline!" His response: "Is that a threat?" _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

Unfortunately, one-ways receive the special "anal-probe" version of the TSA. Nothing really that can be done. Stick with the same airline, if you're an elite member, all the better. But yeah, one-ways tend to screw you from a TSA standpoint, sadly. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

Remind me to share one day what happens when you drop 30 pounds over the winter then flare like you were still 30 pounds heavier. You gain surprising lift. As in, "OH SHIT" surprising lift.

Good post. I'm on a Safire 2 229 right now. I'm just at 1:1 out the door. I've no real need to downsize right now - At 121 jumps, I'm still learning my canopy. Maybe at some point, I'll try a 190. But I think of the canopy flight as the "safety first" part of the skydive, and the freefall as the "fun" part of the skydive. I don't need to do anything that limits my safety. And hey - getting down last gives you a LOT more room. :) _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
