another great thing to do is sneak a dildo/vibrator into his carry on bag and than put something like nail clippers or a pocket knife or hell even a bottle of water these days in the bottom of the bag, that way when they go through security at the airport and have to do a visual inspection of the bag they pull out the dildo

BEWARE the MIRAGE M4 killer deals in classifieds
mynamebedan replied to EirAnne's topic in Gear and Rigging
my brother unforunately fell victim to this scam... and details on the guy doing it or any attempts to persecute with the local police? pm if youd like -
i worked as a telemarketer for like 3 weeks (hated the job wasnt sure why i took it in the first place) and hands down the best way to get piss off one is a loud fax machine. I broke a telephone headset against the wall because i got a fax machine one day. If they think it is a fax line they will take you off the list ASAP.

“Safest” way for the student to make his/her first jump?
mynamebedan replied to deadwood's topic in Instructors
This question is totally dependant on the student.... and for some people the answer would be "none of the above" -
This dropzone is new, but already it has taken off. Fastrax is always willing to help out any team or jumper reguardless of level. The student gear is brand new and top of the line! Huge Landing field of nice green sod and a separate high performance landing area. On site USPA Course Director for those aspiring instructors. Finally a dropzone that has it right from the start!

What is the date and time of the 6-8 Hour Base FJC? -
you can use the classifieds service on dropzone.com , i would also recommend talking with some local jumpers for advice. Your DZO/local gear store also can usually help you find some gear. Just be careful and if it sounds too good to be true... it is.

real or not, i think that the liability insurance would make this difficult if not impossible to run. Plus they would have to have some form of control to prevent someone from ordering a rig off ebay come out there and pounding in still be cool as hell tho... esp if they paid you to jump

very good essay! Now i have to ask... Have you skydived and/or BASEd yet?
-
Ive flow with my sd rig four or five times and the most trouble i got was the guy carrying it like it was a bomb (he was holding it out two feet from him looking away as if it was going to explode) to go and re-run it again. Usually the guy behind the xray mutters something to the effect of "whoa thats pretty cool" and lets it slide right on by.... so much for heightened security

not trying to compare base to skydiving, but the skydiving fjc doesn't prepare you for every thing you might come across in skydiving, but it sure does form a solid foundation to begin safely into the sport. I would imagine that most Base fjc work the same way

Little bit off topic, but Has the requirements for BD next year changed to 250 skydives officially?
