So whats the secret slider technique. I'd try anything- I'm in the 98% off-heading group- new canopy and it seem like now after 150 jumps it is beginning to pack more symetrically and not just a big ball of crap. Some glimmers of hope- It is a down to business opening- no slammers but not the 1000ft snivels like a Spectre.

Grew up on CHOM-FM. 97.7 What a fantastic station. Saw alot of great shows at the Forum.

Did that dip-shit NJ Governor get a ticket for not having a seat belt on??? Or how about the Trooper driving 95 MPH. FUCK NO- but go paddle a canoe without a life vest and its life in prison. Don't get me wrong- i believe in equal inforcement for all- and I believe that you don't follow the law you accept the concequences- this dildo could have been a bit more tactful

Don't need cigarettes in shanghai- just breath normally. Last time I was in Bejing i coould see smog in the hotel lobby. Eco-friendly they are not.

I was athinking about that today... Sharpton and jackson disappeared pretty quickly when they found out this rape "victim" was a lying POS. They didn't seem too interested in the damage done to the lacross players- Why didn't Sharpton arrange a big media promotion at the Govenor's mansion for that. Where does this dildo get off thinking that "hymie" and "white interloper" is OK but nappy-headed ho'

Use it all the time from China to the States. I use a web cam and talk for hours. Usually very clear. At times can have some connectivity problems- but hey- its China And it's free. A 5 minute call from china can cost $75 at peak time with no "plan"

i think if you pull all this together you have your answer. She needs to make her own conclusion. So- take her along and anticipate that she will get bored- have some entertainment(books, video) check out the local events and make sure she has a car to go out on her own. This will only happen once so just be prepared to ditch the boogie early. Make the first boogie one that you don't care so much about. She won't come to another one. It's just part of the process. You may get lucky- I've seen it where SOs are OK with sitting in the sun reading a book just hanging out. The key is that she has some personally rwarding activity to do while you skydive- my GF rides horses and we go our separate ways on weekends. A couple times a year I go watch her jump horses and a couple times a year she comes to the DZ.

Other than my Miata's I only drive Honda's. I've had Preludes (2) Accords(3) Pilots(1) and have had over 200,00 on all of them except Pilot which is relatively new. Same story with family members. I wouldn't complain too much- that car doesn't owe you anything. I drive american POS rental cars with 5,000 miles that don't drive as well as a Honda with 200,000. Sad but true.

Agree here as well. Great company and always have what you need in stock ready to ship. I found a company that has a much more limited selection of products but actually was much cheaper than MMC on most things - smallparts.com- worth a look

I have a 42" Panasonic Plasma and I love it. I spent a lot of time comparing and I think it is the best bang for the buck. Now before you flame me: I got the ED or enhanced definition model. For my viewing needs I couldn't see a big difference for the extra $750. I also don't believe there are enough HD programs to make it cost effective. I figure when everything goes HD it will be time to buy a new one and prices will have fallen.

Good deal- unfortunately even if he was being an asshole- skydivers or the DZ would take the rap if he died or injured himself or someone else. Perhaps a fairly stiff "non-skydiver" Boogie registration fee would keep the locals away.

So let me get this right... dude is passed out and you give him some Jager?? WTF --That is just plain stupidity. I do see some humor in the writing on the face etc... I was in a frat and certainly involved in that type of antics. Can't say that I put my genitals in some ones face.. but that is your choice. (I'm no John Holmes... but I certainly have a sense of pride after seeing Mister-micro) I hope that after you violated this guy you at least made certain he was not able to harm himself and positioned him so he didn't aspirate his own vomit.

Sid got some- let's see if he chimes in

I'm There Friday. Quite a few Finger Lakes folks will be there.

I've been there 3 times in the last 6 months and will be in Shanghai for 4 months later this year - from what I've seen there are no DZs in china. Thailand seems to be the place to go. I have to leave China every 30 days baed on my visa requirements so I just plan on a trip to Thialand

Best way to proceed when you get your gear stolen?
duroejc replied to TaylorC's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Get your insurance policies out and read them - very carefully- before you call your insurance company. Many times how things are presented and what information you include or exclude can determine the outcome of a claim. I don't suggest being untruthful- it's about the spin. example- my cut away canopy was covered as it was part of my personal property that I was traveling with. It was not where I last left it (in a field ) and as such was presumed stolen. Another example- if a dog enters your swimming pool and damages the liner- no insurance coverage. If a wild animal enters your pool and damages the liner you are covered. -
Not a big fan of shiney- but I think you could get away with this. I believe the shirt, tie and shoe selection will make or break the deal- NO BLACK SHIRT

AN 2 jump. Do you want it at the WFFC?
duroejc replied to Fleahop's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
That is what I thought as well. There is one at my home DZ but the owner states that it is considered "experimental" in the US-and not permitted for jump operations yes I know that in Russia they jump them all the time -

duroejc replied to Fleahop's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Didn't think AN2 was approved for skydiving operations. Isn't it "experimental" in the US -
Looks like west coast dates so far. Checked out SD website last night -and no additional shows yet. I'll be watching

I only had one spinning opening on my Spectre in 600 jumps- that one I cut away Iit was so bad.I put that into the shit happens catagory. I did have some slow openings and I replaced my pilotchute. I'd focus more on equipment maintenance

My cut-away main was lost at Richmond last year and was covered under my homeowners policy. Do your homework on your particular policy and insurance company. In my case the main was taken from its last known location and presumed stolen. Had to make sure I contacted the police to file a report and take reasnoable measures to locate it - in this case I rode the Xkeys helo 4 times searching for it and took out an ad in the local paper. I answered the adjusters questions truthfully but didn't elaborate beyond the question asked. AGAIN know your policy and know what to say and not to say- another example, a swimming pool liner that is torn by a dog falling into it is not covered under a homeowners policy- BUT is is covered if a wild animal (raccoon fox etc...) falls in.

Perhaps some input from someone who was there might help. I was one of the 4 way hangong off the 207. We did a cursory dirt dive and had determined who was going to give the count- at least we thought. We hung out there just looking at one another- nodding, ready for the count. The "push" wasn't a push at all- at that point we had to do something as hanging outside the 207 for much longer was impossible. The knudge Chris provided was just qued us to leave. We actually had a fun skydive and laughed our asses off for several weeks after about it. Facts as stated are accurate- experienced skydivers- no issue. Chris wouldn't endager anyone in an exit or in the air......... Now the farts on the ride to altitude are a different story. Must be he is using his "out of town manners" with all of you.
