    Exactly. He had no salary, thus nothing to tax in that context. Can't you just hear the Chicago guys going - "HE DIDN'T PAY ANY TAXES!!!". Regarding his "trust fund", I expect his tax accountants fully complied with the law, as defined at that point in time. We are all engines of karma

    Well, I could be wrong, but I don't believe Lincoln had any PR literature saying that he was born in Kenya, like Obama has. To be explicit, I've seen Harvard literature that says he was born in Kenya. I've seen Illinois Senate literature that says he was born in Kenya. If you look at that objectively, you would say it's fair for people to ask if Obama was a natural born citizen. You can see that point of view, right? We are all engines of karma

    Fair statement. I think it's wonderful when we can actually discuss the differences in a civilized manner. Sometimes, someone actually learns something from the exchange. I personally love it when that happens. Preferably in an objective way. But, that requires agreement between parties on what an objective criteria is. For me, the #1 issue is the crisis in our Federal fiscal situation. It dwarfs all other issues by far. Do I think Obama is going to solve it? No. Do I think Romney and Ryan can solve it? Far better than Obama can. Romney is a straight shooter who's been successful. Do I agree with him on everything? No, I don't. Sounds reasonable to me. We probably do, more so than you realize.     Well, that's required to run for office. Releasing your tax returns, or your college transcripts, is not required to run for office. We are all engines of karma
