Did the pilot live? We are all engines of karma
-
My future brother in law is an airline pilot. He prefers Boeing planes because they at least attempt to keep the pilot in the loop in their designs. Airbus is the exact opposite. We are all engines of karma

Would you want your 8 year old daughter to walk by a newstand with a rag blaring "SEX WORKERS KILLED"? That could easily be contained in the fine print of an article with a more appropriate title, as discussed above. We are all engines of karma

I was referring to using the phrase "Sex Workers" on public radio (...that being the forum I was referring to). Young children should not be needlessly exposed to all aspects of this life. That was my point. I see now that I could have communicated that better. We are all engines of karma

Great post! We are all engines of karma -
Certified for what? Where's it going to land? Airbus designs are big on computers doing the work, to the extent that they actually try to cut the pilot out of the loop. Their whole design philosophy is flawed, IMO. I personally will be very reluctant to get on one. We are all engines of karma

Why bother to go into that detail in a public forum? So some rag newspaper can sell more copies? Certain things are best left between adults behind closed doors. Why are our societies forgetting this? Agreed. That's a much better way to phrase it. We are all engines of karma

Saudis Give a Grim What If Should U.S. Opt to Leave Iraq
StreetScooby replied to StreetScooby's topic in Speakers Corner
From today's New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/12/13/world/middleeast/13saudi.html?ex=1166590800&en=83ca64f4fc0f1a66&ei=5065&partner=MYWAY Wow. Simply wow. There's a huge amount of hate in the Arab culture around the Sunni/Shiite split. The rest of the article is pretty sobering. The Saudi's have been funding alot of this hate for a long time, and now plan to continue to do so in order to "protect themselves". Maybe this will be how Islam has its much needed Reformation. My cats go outside at will. So, rabies is a must on a regular basis. Plus, deworming, since they are pretty good hunters. My tomcat actually got a woodpecker the other day (...don't know how). We are all engines of karma

I have had many dreams where I'm doing relative work, watch everyone track away, look down, the ground is right there, then land like I jumped off a chair. No dusting off required. We are all engines of karma

I read the article. It adds more weight to my perception that Capitalism is not a long term stable solution. I don't know what's better... We are all engines of karma
