  1. One of the references given here is this: EXXON MOBIL CONTRIBUTED PUBLICATIONS PEER - REVIEWED PUBLICATIONS There is some good looking papers there. Using the references in the 1st paper (Hoffert, M.I., Flannery, B. P., Callegari, A. J., Hseih, C. T., and Wiscombe, W., 1983. Evaporation - limited tropical temperatures as a constraint on climate sensitivity. Journal of the Atmospheric Sciences 40, No. 7, 1659 - 1668) has led me what looks to be one of the first attempts to model the earth-atmosphere system, here: A Global Climatic Model Based on the Energy Balance of the Earth-Atmosphere System This is the kind of paper I like to read, especially wrto global warming. It has some serious meat to it. We are all engines of karma
  2. My weight belt is max'ed, and I need a few more pounds of weight. Where can I find a weight vest? Searching gear shops via the internet isn't turning anything up. We are all engines of karma
  3. +1 We are all engines of karma
  4. Came across another article, with a foreward by Freeman Dyson: CARBON DIOXIDE - The good news Interesting last chapter, too: We are all engines of karma
  5. Isn't the NRA non-profit? We are all engines of karma
  6. The senior people at the rating agencies (Moody's, etc.) should have definitely gone to jail. They were on the take, and every one knew it. They were the firewall to shutting it down, and they didn't. Instead, they sucked in massive fees for blessing junk paper. We are all engines of karma
  7. Another article I came across that summarizes what is incorporated into climate models: Factor Understood? Contribution to models’ predicted future warming ENSO No 0% Ocean Oscillations No 0% Ocean Currents No 0% Volcanoes No 0% Wind No 0% Water Cycle Partly (built into Water Vapour, below) The Sun No 0% Galactic Cosmic Rays (and aerosols) No 0% Milankovich cycles No 0% Carbon Dioxide Yes 37% Water Vapour Partly 22% but suspect Clouds No 41%, all highly suspect Other (in case I have missed anything) 0% From here: How reliable are the climate models? 8. The physics of CO2 cannot be denied here. You will never "win" that argument. What's lacking in the argument is all of the other forces that impact our climate. We are no where close to have a solid grip on that. And, let's not forget, that none of the methods being advocated/imposed by the EPA are going to have any impact on our contribution (or not) to warming. They are going to hurt a lot of people right here, right now, with no benefit what so ever. We are all engines of karma
  9. What about the Australians? We are all engines of karma
  10. And so do Cows, just from their farts. I'm certain I've read EPA authorities discussing this somewhere. I find myself wondering, in what little idle time I have these days, what's going to happen when global-warming-advocates realize that the biomass of ants is greater than all other species, IIRC. What happens if ants fart, too? We are all engines of karma
  11. Have no idea if this is a "verified" article or not: MASSIVE GLOBAL COOLING process discovered as Paris climate deal looms There's an awful lot that's not covered by current climate models. And, it's pretty clear all of the EPA changes aren't going to impact warming at all. The whole thing is getting way out of control. Global warming is _NOT_ the biggest threat to us, not even close. 12. So, the mid-point is stationary for all formations/builds in the dive? We are all engines of karma
  13. This looks really good. Can I change orientation of build axes? What about the mid-point of the build? We are all engines of karma
  14. Thanks! We are all engines of karma
  15. Thing hangs up constantly on me now. Anyone else having this problem? We are all engines of karma
  16. Having read quite a bit about "climate change", it's clear to me that the "options" being advocated aren't going to make a hill of beans difference in warming itself. The only thing that will change is the government will take more money out of our pockets, and gain more control over our lives, ...for nothing. We are all engines of karma
  17. Judith Curry sums it up pretty well... This document is her testimony to a house committee. http://science.house.gov/sites/republicans.science.house.gov/files/documents/HHRG-114-SY-WState-JCurry-20150415_0.pdf We are all engines of karma
  18. billvon, that's not a yes/no question... btw, I've yet to complete the list of references I agreed to read 6 months or so back. Just starting a new job that hopefully will allow some sane balance in my life. To reiterate my perspective on this, what's being proposed by government isn't going to have any meaningful impact on this problem. Current govt solutions will only take more money out of our pockets, and give them more control over our lives. I absolutely "deny" their proposed solutions. We are all engines of karma
  19. NWFlyer makes some good points. Also, you'll need to wear big tennis shoes with the big booties. That will give a tight fit, otherwise big booties will end up flying you if you're not careful. We are all engines of karma
  20. Never heard of padded "booties". Padded knees, get those for sure. Also, make sure the grips are RW-ready. Once you start turning blocks, non-RW grips get ripped off. We are all engines of karma
  21. ROFLMAO!!! That about sums it up... Good video guys are extremely hard to come by, especially these days. If you can get one, do what you need to keep him. We are all engines of karma
  22. It's ridiculous to think that taking guns from law abiding citizens all across the county will do anything to change the behavior of delinquents who don't know how to live in a civilized society. Culture is what your Mom and Dad teach you at the dinner table. Liberals vigorously claim that's not a requirement in life. They are wrong. Black lives matter? Why is it that 3 of every 5 black babies in NYC are aborted? And of the remaining 2/5 black children, 70% are born to single black mothers who are destined to live in poverty? How many of the black kids in Chicago that are shooting each other have a Dad that comes home for dinner every night? The cognitive dissonance is simply off the chart, and you can't have any productive discussions about that with liberals. These same folks think America is the richest country in the world. They fail to see the relevance of private property, and the $18T (...that's trillion) dollars in debt that has been accumulated by our government. We are past the tipping point here. There is no chance our government is going to pay off the debt, and most likely will never have a balanced budget (with no deficit). Anyone who has grown up in a responsible household with access to guns _knows_ that guns can kill, especially if you know how to aim the gun. They are not "playthings", and God help you if an adult caught you treating it as such. There are many folks here that haven't had that privilege, and have no idea what that entails. Producing movies that herald guns and are seen by people who don't know how to live in a civilized society is simple ridiculous. Liberal thought/philosophy is bankrupt, IMO. There is nothing left to discuss. Obama is the epitome of bankrupt liberal thought, and I pray his foolishness doesn't cause irreparable harm to this country and our allies. For those of us who haven't had the privilege of being raised in a responsible household, they're being fed horse hockey from movies and cultures that don't emphasize the importance of civil behavior. Liberal philosophy has devolved into those that are victims, and those that are "smart enough" to run the lives of victims. If you don't acknowledge the victims, you're not sympathetic and are probably racist to boot. If you don't acknowledge the smart people in government know how best to live your life, you're an idiot. This country doesn't need a discussion of "race". It needs a discussion about civil behavior. That starts within a nuclear family, and goes from there, IMO. We are all engines of karma
  23. Sean Penn is very anti-gun ownership, yet he makes movies heralding the use of guns. I'd be thrilled if Hollywood actually stepped up and stopped making movies about guns. What am I missing here? Cognitive dissonance is the phrase that comes to mind. We are all engines of karma
  24. I watched the speech. Thought he knocked it out of the park. Any rational person would be hard pressed to disagree with anything he said. We are all engines of karma
