man I'm so glad to see that people are finally starting to pick up on that... The Marine Corps Times Publishes the names of all those killed in Action and keeps a current death toll every week. It is very sad to be reading though and see someone you went to boot camp with or spend time with in school. I am a U.S. Marine and my job consists of fixing aircraft electronics. Mainly the Electronic Counter Measures Field (radar jamming.... haha Eat that FAA) and also electrocuting every new guy who checks in. I'll have to disagree here... one does not have to have served to understand the whys and wherefores of armed conflict... wars are fought by soldiers in the interest and name of the people, so the people should have a voice in if and why the war should be fought... I would agree that critisism and protest of and about specific actions of soldiers should be reserved to those who have walked in those boots, but unfortunately it doesn't work that way. J hmmmm good counter point The most terrifying words in the English language are: ‘I'm from the government and I'm here to help’. ~Ronald Reagan 30,000,000 legal firearm owners killed no one yesterday.

Ok I know that when I do 6 ways they float a little. Does anyone have any Idea what the fall rate would be for something that large? Faster or Slower? why should it matter whether or not those that complain of the war have children fighting there? Personal Opinion here, but I strongly believe that unless you have served your country and you have not really earned your right to protest. Now I know that the Frist Amendent protects our rights by giving freedom of speech, but I am sorry if you have not served what do you know about War and why we do it, what gives you the right to say "Our soldiers are dying there and for what" when you are not the one fighting, you truly can't understand someone until you spend some time in their shoes. Well like I said just an Opinion and we all know that these are like elbows and ass holes everyone has some. Hmmm I don't agree with this comment, we have gotten some cool new toys recently. Such as Air Conditioned body armor that will allow the top gunner on a humvee to be very well protected from IED's. We have had many pay raises, New planes such as the Osprey, F-35, F-22 and the even newer ECM F-18. We have new gear to protect us against gas attacks, new weopons for the Marine Corps should be seen with in the next two years. The list goes on, does this give you an Idea that president Bush is spending money on the troops. As far as your post goes I am sorry if I gave the impression of a onesided argument. That is not what I intended, I would like to encourage others to comment freely. That is what being an American is about right. As far as the news site you can feel free to read CNN, MSNBC, Washington Post or your local paper if you want. I know most of you have heard her name on the news. What does everyone think about this woman and do you think she is disgracing the sacrifice that her son made or not. I want to hear opinions here people. By the way if you don't know who she is go to www.foxnews.com and do a search on her name. Well, well, well this is what happens when we join the Air Force and not the Marine Corps. If I had failed out of school (Avionics) in the Corps then they would have just sent me Infantry. Marines Don't just give up. :) Ok so maybe you did get the better deal......... I have only been jumping since April 30th so it is still relatively new to me. But I probably have 1 dream every other month about skydiving. Usually they start out good. Like the last one I was sitting on a cloud talking to a couple of other jumpers (I won't mention names because they might be worried that I dream about them......) so I am sitting on this cloud for a while and finally decide to jump off and land. I do a quick handle check (my gear is already on) and I jump off. Well in this dream I was tracking to the drop zone which was on a beach near a cliff....... yea great location. So I am tracking towards the cliff and I go to pull and nothing happens and I continue to track into the cliff I woke up right before I hit. So needless to say I am not really sure whether that was a good or bad dream you tell me. The most cost effective places to jump.

Many times I have shown the pilot my hairy arse and never have I got extra altitude. Well I guess that depends on what kind of pilot you get right............ Hmm I have no Idea how those conversions work but I pay $19.80 American for 14K to 15.5K depending on how the pilot feels. I.E. someone flashes him. Skydivers who don't deserve respect.
valcore replied to Trae's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Perhaps I am an Idealist but I believe that everyone deservers respect no matter what type of person they are. But your right some more then others, I know I am not perfect but I try and respect everyone that I know and meet because there is always something you can learn from people even if its what not to do. I would never mind to jump with someone, even if your not active anymore. I probably won't look for any team stuff untill I get at least 100 jump and some wind tunnel time. And even then it would just be for fun and not real serious competition stuff yet. That happened to me about a month ago. I get really bad seasonal allergys and was suffering from a sinus infection. So I though I'll be fine to jump, nope my ears hurt like hell when I landed and did not clear for a week. Though I did not have a perferated ear drum. Hey did the doc tell you that it will effect your hearing or will everything go back to normal once it heals. Who in their right mind let go of the tits, I think holding them on the ride up would be more relaxing. Don't worry your not the only one who has interesting exits. I still suck at my exits, its strange sometimes I'll nail them and sometimes I have the most interesting acrobatics....... But remember that even if you screw up your exit...... isn't it cool to flip around the air anyway..... and it looks great on camera lol well at least for everyone else. Yea you make a point but you have to remember that they were training women and children to fight the american invaders. By destroying a few citys the loss of life was much less then it would have been had we invaded and been forced to kill everyone. This is one of those rare cases where the end justified the means. What are your Skydiving Withdraw Symptoms
valcore replied to valcore's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
For those of you who work during the week, I imagine that there is a little bit of adrenaline withdraw. I know I sure have it. For about 2 to 3 days it’s the worst I can’t stop thinking about skydiving and what I want to do for my next jump. I am fidgety and restless. Maybe this is partially because I am a new jumper and I am just extremely excited about the sport. I have noticed that my friends who do their first jump are excited about it for a week but after about 2 weeks its like they have forgotten how it feels and just are not as interested. How many other people out there deal with something similar to this withdraw type symptoms. Forgot to add the very strong urge to quite the military and move to the drop zone.
