  5. When I was in the army I just got back from being in the field for 45 days in Alamogordo, New Mexico. We were going to drive back to Louisiana the next day so several members of our unit went over the border to Juarez, Mexico. I just hung out at a club in El Paso with the rest of my buddies. Well two sergeants from our unit (both black guys) were coming back across the border and they were both pretty drunk. The border guards asked them their country of origin and both of the decided to be dumbasses and say they were from Sweden...Yeah two black guys with southern accents from Sweden huh. Yeah they were detained for 3 freaking days until our CO was finally able to get them released back to our unit already back in Lousiana. So if all you have to do is say youre from a different country that what you look like you are then you will get thrown in a mexican jail for sure. I'm not saying the two SSGt's were right, but I am saying it doesn't take a lot to get thrown in a mexican jail.

  13. I think this is a delicate issue that could unfortunately result in some form of action from the US. I hope not. ------------------------------------------------------------- Seoul, South Korea (CNN) -- North Korea reacted to a South Korean anti-submarine exercise early Thursday by saying it would meet "confrontation with confrontation" and war with "all-out war," according to North Korean state-run media. "Now that the puppet group challenged the DPRK [North Korea] formally and blatantly, the DPRK will react to confrontation with confrontation, and to a war with an all-out war," according the KCNA news agency. The news agency referred to South Korean leaders as a "group of traitors" and said they would experience "unheard of disastrous consequences" if they misunderstand North Korea's will. The response comes amid high tensions on the Korean peninsula, after Seoul blamed Pyongyang for the sinking in March of a South Korean warship. An official South Korean report has accused the communist North of firing a torpedo at the ship, killing 46 sailors. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, visiting Seoul on Wednesday, called the sinking "an unacceptable provocation by North Korea" and said the international community should respond. Video: Clinton: Ship attack 'unacceptable' RELATED TOPICS * North Korea * South Korea Also Thursday, the general staff of North Korea's military -- the Korean People's Army, or KPA -- said it was enacting new measures to deal with any "all-out confrontation." The steps would "retract all measures for providing military guarantees for the North-South cooperation and exchange, and the promise of a physical strike. "The KPA will make a prompt physical strike at the intrusion into the extension of the Military Demarcation Line under our side's control in the West Sea of Korea," the army said, according to the KCNA news agency. http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/asiapcf/05/27/north.korea.south.korea.warning/index.html?hpt=T2
  14. You know that's a weird one...usually if it states 'press any key to boot from the cd' and you do it usually boots right to the disk. I would think the disk is bootable if it asks you to press any key to boot from the CD. Try removing all power, open the side up, and remove the CMOS battery and leave it out for a minute or so and put it back in, then try booting to the CD again. I'm just trying the easy stuff for you at first to eliminate it and then we can proceed further if that doesn't work. I'll be here all day...no really I will that's my schedule (you gotta love Flo from progressive)
  15. So is this a SATA hard drive...and is it the only drive you have in the bay? If it's the only drive I'd see if you could burn a copy of fdisk on a CD and boot from the CD and try formatting it that way. I haven't tried it with Windows 7 yet but it worked for all the other OS's including Vista. If you have more than one drive then place the disk you want to use as secondary as primary (ie swap disks..) then try going to Control Panel/Admin Tools/Computer Management/Disk Management & see whether your ext HDD is present then if it is showing with a question mark above it, it may need to be initialized first.
  16. How many jumpers can you fit in that Beech?
  17. well apparently if he didn't 'waft the fart in the direction' of the said police officer, he might have 'gotten off' with only a DWI.
  18. Well the FOR sure include Bill Billachick and the New England Patriots into this discussion as well! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnqQhUdXgvI ---------------------------------------------------------------- I misinterpreted the rules...

  20. Well I can be pretty sure when you get back from Kerrville and jump with me, you'll be rollin' snake eyes! ----------------------------------------------------------------- Besides I can see where there can be all kinds of grey area when dealing with lying and such, but on the whole is someone who has say...75 jumps and they say they have 750...you experienced guys will call bullshit right off the exit.
  21. While I agree that there are folks that pad their log books, someone like Wendy could easily tell the difference by jumping with them. I know I don't either, but seriously whats the point of lying to yourself?
  22. MAN ARRESTED FOR FARTING TO A COP SOUTH CHARLESTON, West Virginia (AP) — A West Virginia man who police said passed gas and fanned it toward a patrol officer has been charged with battery on a police officer. Jose A. Cruz, 34, of Clarksburg was pulled over early Tuesday for driving without headlights, police said. According to the criminal complaint, Cruz smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and failed three field sobriety tests before he was handcuffed and taken to a police station for a Breathalyzer test. As Patrolman T.E. Parsons prepared the machine, Cruz scooted his chair toward Parsons, lifted his leg and “passed gas loudly,” the complaint said. Cruz, according to the complaint, then fanned the gas toward the officer. “The gas was very odorous and created contact of an insulting or provoking nature with Patrolman Parsons,” the complaint alleged. He was also charged with driving under the influence, driving without headlights and two counts of obstruction. Cruz acknowledged passing gas but said he didn’t move his chair toward the officer nor aim gas at the patrolman. He said he had an upset stomach at the time, but police denied his request to go to the bathroom when he arrived at the station. “I couldn’t hold it no more,” he said. He also denied being drunk and uncooperative, as the police complaint alleged. He added he was upset at being prepared for a Breathalyzer test while having an asthma attack. The police statement said he later resisted being secured for a trip to a hospital that he requested for asthma treatment. Cruz said the officers thought the gas incident was funny when it happened and laughed about it with him. “This is ridiculous,” he said. “I could be facing time.” NWA said it best! http://illseed.com/2008/09/26/man-arrested-for-farting-to-a-cop/
  23. Well I think there is a few things where lying and cheating won't get you anywhere. Skydiving being one of them. Experienced skydivers, don't say 'I did this'... they DO IT. They let their actions speak the truth and in my opinion, if someone can only excel their life by cheating and deceiving it will catch up to them ten fold and it's simply not worth it.
