I have a pair of Birdman Tracking Pantz (BASE model) and they've become my freefly pants of choice. The inlets are such that they do not inflate when I'm in a sit or head down. So no you won't look like an inverted clown. Everybody's body type & slying style is different, so I personally don't think there's an "optimal" clothing configuration for everyone. You just need to try different things and see what works best for you. And that may change over time. In my case, I'm kind of light & floaty, and I found that the Pantz work well because they aren't flared that much at the ankles. The looseness of the fabric is more evenly distributed and that seems to give me better control than super-flared pant legs. I've done a few tracking dives with the Pantz and they're a blast. It takes some getting used to, because if you go hard with the legs, you tend to tip severely head down. When you hit the "sweet spot" on these things you know it, but I've only been able to hold it for a couple of seconds. I've managed 90MPH average on a tracking dive, but I think with more practice I could get them down into the mid-to-low 80s. - Z "Always be yourself... unless you suck." - Joss Whedon

I'm no expert. I just read a lot. And if I ever claim to be an expert or "enlightened" (whatever that means) you have my express permission to kick my ass back into reality. Certainly.

The T & D are interchangeable. You are correct that it pronounced "Daoism". Most literature still uses the T, though I have seen some use the D. Personally I think either way is correct, I just have historically used the T. But then again, does it really matter how it's spelled? It could be spelled C-A-T and it would still remain Tao. He would be a Zen Buddhist. Now whether he would understand Zen is another story. Heh. Ain't that the truth. That's why I never ask a person if they're Chinese or Japanese (or anything else). "Taoist church" sounds like an oxymoron if you ask me. If you're into Taoism, there's a really good book called the "Tao of Zen" which traces the historical relationship of Zen & Taoism. The problem with people like Moore is that they are so blinded by their own political beliefs and agendas that they lose all credibility with me. He has no objectivity.
