  1. awesome! so resisting pasting that quote into my sig line. i'm so impressed with the phalli who drive them around manhattan. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  2. Oh, when I become this great nation's benevolent dictator after a bloodless coup (*all smothering), I shall decree: Strip the stars from any general who would think to make themselves "comfortable" before ensuring first that everyone in their command had everything they needed to do their job properly. (*simpsons) Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  3. As a long time proud member of the republican party, cool to see that all I'd have to do to be called a "liberal" here in SC is to criticize FOX news for doctoring photographs. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  4. I don't hear anyone saying that doctoring photos is appropriate journalism, regardless of who's doing it to whom. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  5. Yep, and here's where FOX said it was a "Media Black Eye". I guess only when it's someone else doing it. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  6. Strawman. Dude, of course for profit corps seek to maximize profits. It's different to believe that is the reason why Matthews asked that question. Yeah, we know. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  7. I support your freedom to keep your conspiracy blinders. It's human nature on occasion to not see things clearly if it goes against our expectations. I on the other hand prefer to see this interview more simply. Matthews caught a supporter not knowing anything about the track record of the person they're supporting. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  8. That "what if" guess is quite a stretch. You really think if Watson mentioned at least one bill Obama sponsored, Matthews would retort "wrong. you can't do anything by yourself in the Senate". Really? Seems to me what really happened in that interview is that Matthews was trying to find out whether Watson was familiar at all with anything Obama did in the Senate or if he was simply on the "Obama inspires us" bandwagon. Matthews then exhibited contempt for an elected official who would endorse for president someone they know nothing of substance about. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  9. Back to High School Civics class for you... Things an individual US Senator can point to as legislative accomplishments include their actions and influence on committees, sponsoring bills, diplomatic work, particularly influential speeches in support or opposition to legislative debate, on and on... So, while your comment is correct, it's not even close to the whole picture. If it were, then why didn't Watson simply say what you said to Matthews? Apparently they both don't agree with you. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  10. Either way, it matches the upside-down camera dude on the front cover... Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  11. If it's Sunday, it's Meet The Press. Never a discernable agenda or bias. The way all journalists should be. A class act. A great American. A Bills fan. Hey, two out of three ain't bad... Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  12. Uncle Scar? I'm pretty sure the cat was African, not English. Here are a couple of straws though: Braveheart The Patriot (What does drunk Mel have against englishmen anyway...) My guess? To the big american movie audience, english accents imply intelligence. Smart villains make good villains. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  13. Well, in reality the first lady ends up being an ambassador of sorts. Maybe not so much if she'd be more behind the scenes kind of FL, but you know with her education and experience, she'll want to play a more active role. That said, it doesn't matter whether or not she said 'really'. This is campaign language used for pandering. She's never been proud of her country before? Doubt it. It's more an example of today's "ha gotcha!" media culture than her patriotism or lack thereof. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  14. A country, or those currently in charge? But yes. A corrupt, neglectful military dictatiorship refuses aid delivered by the strongest foreign military in the world, which happens to be engaged in two battle theatres at the moment. Big surprise. Maybe if the US had exhibited less imperialistic tendencies since the end of the cold war, the Burmese strongmen would have been more likely to accept our help. And no, I didn't just say this is the US's fault. But answers aren't always black and white are they. Also doesn't help when the current headline on CNN.COM says "Time to Invade Myanmar?" Ugh. Nice. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  15. No doubt the Archy kid's got the chops with some kinds of songs (like the normally untouchable "Imagine"), but is anyone really going to buy a CD of his stuff? 45 minutes of pitch-controlled heavy breathing? How many out there like me think his career arc is going to look something like this: one CD, broadway, vegas, disneyland, laughlin, cruise ship, indian casino, county fair... But he'll probably win. Why? I guess too many 10 year old girls own cell phones. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  16. Anybody been in this situation? Seems I'm seeing more and more that drivers who can make a right on red seem to think they have the right of way. Other situations too to back this up, but here's one attached. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  17. Coincidentally enough I watched the following just this past Friday morning. In southern California. White pickup truck made a turn very similar to the one the OP described, and a CHP bike came out of nowhere, hauled ass to catch up then pulled him over. Not sure if that answers the question, but being one of the cars in the long "green" line, I was somewhat pleased. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  18. Interestingly enough, Rosetta Stone has a not-for-resale clause in their license agreement, and seems they enforce it out on eBay. Last year I bought RS-German on eBay for about half the list price, although it was an earlier version. (I assumed the German language hadn't changed much since 2005, so why not?) Once both of us were alerted to this, the seller fully refunded what I paid her thru Paypal. But then emailed me telling me to keep the software since she had no use for it anyway. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  19. Legal? I don't know. Maybe. But as for playing nice with others on the road, you're sorta not. And for you to take all this time to ask the question at all, sketch it up, convert to PDF and all that tells me you know it too. For one, obviously you're doggin the good hearted folks (sheep?) taking their turn in the real right turn lane. Your sketch leaves it vague as to whether you and the real righties end up with their own lanes or if on top of cutting them, now you have to merge with them. But you're also doggin the people behind you who'd like to go straight without having to wait for you to slow all the way down to make that right turn that's obviously not traffic-engineered to be a right turn. So, if bending the rules three times in one turn at the expense of others on the road's fine with you as long as you can't get a ticket for it, then I guess you're good to go. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  20. Sure, but that doesn't mean the constitution allows it or doesn't. Not much more than words. Ultimately a majority opinion from the scotus decides what "keep and bear arms" means. And each generation's scotus can define it differently. Oh, and back to Chuckie H... My favorite quote is "You maniacs! You blew it up! God, damn you! God damn you all to hell!" Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  21. I guess they can pry the gun from his hands now. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  22. A Green... will question why they ever had a roof, and starting with the hole will hammer and pry off the rest. Periodic rains will be welcomed with upstretched arms as nature's gift, and for bathing purposes. Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  23. misaltas

    I am never...

hey at least you got the entire sentence out. by the time i'm ready to make such a declaration, these words hit my ears porcelain echoed, and the word "again" sounds more like "aga..blaaahhhh, kuufgh" Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
  24. Hmm. You're a westerner who happened to have been to ksa back when, didn't like what you saw, so conclude that they deserve invasion. I'll just set that one aside for the moment. Obl recruited saudis specifically to drive a wedge between us/ksa relations. So your response is either exactly how obl intended to control american emotions, or you agree with him that the us is wrong to keep holding hands with the monarchy (gwb literally). I mean, it's tough for me to disagree with you, so I won't, but do you see how obl is winning this chess game against us? And using warped evil to do so? Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
