It was my first BASE jump since we lost a friend. So me and my buddy hit a local power tower for a memorial jump when it flew over me on the ground. I've never seen something fly with such ease and sense of calm, no rush, no crazy flapping. Just gliding along on the air

If you think more reserves have been used in real life situations at terminal than BASE canopies i would take a stab and say you are wrong. People jumping 30 years maybe have 13 reserve rides, most; if not all being sub terminal (who waits to get terminal again?) While a guy in Norway can do 13 terminals in a week or two. BASE canopies are less prone to malfunction in my non rigger opinion. 1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. Until morale improves, the beatings will continue.

I think that depends on what you call testing. BASE canopies are tested every day in real life situations and not controlled "tests." Apex are even cutting down on the bulk and weight with the new canopies as they admitted they over engineered it to cope with massive levels of stress. 1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. Its comparing apples and oranges. Both systems have the same task but work very differently as we all know. Since BASE jumping i have actually became more fearful of Skydiving equipment and all the added components. My priorites are Altitude allowing: Get stable, Pull (i dont use RSL but thats not the discussion here) Altitude not permitting: Just get as much fabric out as possible, you maybe just sacrificed a stable opening for going too deep. One thing i will say is I trust my BASE rig a whole lot more not because i have to, but because its so simple. Yea its one canopy but done correctly its the best fucking canopy you could hope to have above your head and i have peace of mind knowing I packed it. I want my riggers ticket just so i can pack all my own shit, legally anyway. 1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. Until morale improves, the beatings will continue.

Leatherman, not really a pocket knife but it goes in my pocket and has a knife (that i've never used on anything thinking about it....) Scissors and pliers come in handy though. 1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. Until morale improves, the beatings will continue.

Have not got enough experience in an American car to give a point on reliability. What i will say though is i feel automatics take the pleasure out of driving. And thats ALL i see here. 1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. Until morale improves, the beatings will continue. -
I have grown up around staffs and English Bull Terriers. I was trying to highlight a point that a gun is probably the most stupid defense against an attacking dog. I hate nothing more than the media sensationalism of pitbulls and other dogs regarded as dangerous. 1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit.
