  1. All fucking mumbo-jumbo to me.... I bought my 16 year old stepson the game for his xbox....now he wants to play it online....what do I need ot get him to get that organized?
  2. If that is what you intended to convey with your previous message, it came across rather poorly.
  3. Understandable, but would also make the cops of the same caliber as the cop killer. I hope it didn't go that way.
  4. Funny thing is, if this thread was about mexicans in the US, many posters would have a very different opinion, screaming it is all different. Europeans have a real sense that they are being overrun by Muslims. In many European countries we are seeing a switch to a significantly more right wing political stance. As an example, look at the recent European Elections and the party in Holland that gained the most during those elections. In many European countries, integration has completely failed, which is driving most of this. Ask your average Texan what should be done with Mexicans" and you pretty much get the same answer as when you ask the average European what to do with muslims.
  5. My sincere sympathies to you and your family. I could not imagine the loss of a parent. Lean on your friends. May the journey from sadness to fond memories be a quick one.
  6. I'm still trying to understand what she was being arrested for? Not listening to mammy?
  7. You can be forced to look harder for cows on the bottom of the atlantic ocean, doesn't mean you are going to find them.
  8. I somple terms I said it wasn't a right granted by the constitution. You came along and said the constitution doens't grant rights. Which by definition means I am right. (and as per the first line in my response, a complete semantics argument) The right to bear arms to protect yourself from the government, shall not be infringed. That is what the second amendend says. The first amendmend pretty much says that free speech shall not be tampered with, but doesn't add a qualifier like the second amendmend. It just leafs it at free speech in general. Now, in the second amendmend they added a qualifier. I am just wondering why they would have felt the need to do that. I doubt that all these wise and revered men would have added wording just for the hell of it.
  9. with a Long Range Acoustic Device, it sounds (bad pun) like you quite litterally could...
  10. No, but I have seen them in the paper here in Toronto. I also know that working any of those jobs does not allow a person to actually live in Toronto either. I have this feeling it is very much the same in Chicago. Secondly, just because there is a wanted ad in the paper doesn't mean there aren't a 1,000 people applying for that one job. The issue isn't the supply quantity but the delta between supply and demand.
  11. Plus it is against the wishes of at least one founding father.
  12. In many ways I agree with you, but have you seen the unemployment rate lately?
  13. Thanks Marg. From your reply, I get the impression that if it was deemed a terrorist attack, it cannot be a crime? On a seperate note, the determination seems to be very similar to that of a hate crime in my opinion.
  14. I am very sorry to hear of your loss.
  15. That just said the Secretary of the Army gets to decide, didn't see where it said what would differentiate murder from terrorism.
  16. Problem is I need another rational adult to have one of those....
  17. What are the determining factors in the decision whether this is terrorism or murder?
  18. Since we are into semantics now....you just proved I am right. If the Constitution does not grant right, than the bolded statement above is right by definition. mnealtx, thanks for proving my point. Sometimes one gets help from the strangest places.
  19. No, according to my logic a Muslim cannot claim to have a constitutionally protected right to work for a private company based on your example and the partial quote from the first amendmend. That is one option, the other option entails you brushing up on reading comprehension. Another option alltogether would entail asking for clarification when unsure. There generally are more than one or two options.....
  20. Based on what is known now, yes I blame leadership. Specially if the superior thought she was using this to try and get out of deployment and that is all he said. I am not basing the judgement on the prvious actions by different leadership....see the difference?
  21. I agree that is it political posturing, but I don't understand the rest of your statement. My understanding is that you are either entitled to a purple heart or you are not. It is not a medal you are recommended for. As such, and I don't know how this works, is the military authorized or able to change those criteria themselves?
  22. Oh I believe it, and don't agree with it. And *if* she did this to get out of her deployment she should be punished for it. I am just not as quick to judge one person on the prior behaviour of others. Secondly, if her superior made that statement, without verifying anything, on a hunch or an assumption, he is not fit to lead mice to a cheese supply. That would be one of the worst examples of leadership.
