North Carolina Anti-anti-discrimination law
SkyDekker replied to wolfriverjoe's topic in Speakers Corner
If you consider horrible economy, deplorable unemployment numbers and abhorrent health services as "working" then yes, I guess you have found paradise. -
I may have to lay down a couple of bucks myself.

Which shows it is separate from the odds of something happening. -
You seem to have a hard time coming up with an identifiable group, pretty decent indication this wasn't borne out of discrimination. Answer the question. Can you or can you not discriminate against an individual? You can discriminate against an individual on the basis of him belonging to, or being perceived to belong to an identifiable group. Banning Trump for being Trump is not discrimination. Banning Trump for being a white American male is discrimination. Banning a muslim for being muslim is discrimination. Banning all muslims for being muslim is discrimination. What happened is farcical and inane, but it isn't discrimination. Would banning a racist for being racist count? Maybe banning a troll for trolling is more apt.

Or on a smaller scale, the odds would be changed to attract more betting on the other party to mitigate the risk. Which would apply to closing odds, not opening odds which was what OP posted. -

That's not really how discrimination works. You tend to discriminate based on membership or perceived membership to a group. Don't think that captures this scenario. But a nice way to try and twist the meaning of words to fit your agenda. . Is he not the representative of a group of like minded individuals? Did all of those people get included in the discussion of being banned to enter the US? Do you maybe see the difference between the above and banning all Muslims from the US. One is discrimination, the other is not. Are you claiming that you cannot discriminate against an individual? What identifiable group does Trump belong to (or is perceived to belong to) that would make this discrimination?

Because they want to hear what they already believe in, as opposed to anything resembling truth or fact.

Drove through there last year. Certainly not home to the brightest minds on the planet. We know how to survive. So do jellyfish. -

No it isn't. A $10 billion bet, if accepted at a bettinghouse, would dramatically change the payout ratios. It won't drastically change the mind of voters and hence the odds of election don't actually change. -

For example, 1/3, i.e., one to three against, means you pay $3 for a chance to win $1 (plus the return of your $3) if Clinton wins. In other words, the odds suggest Clinton has a 75% chance of winning in November (disregarding the bookie's rake). Just a reminder that the bolded part is false. Odds are set based on expected betting as well as actual betting. They have very little to do with the actual possibility of an outcome. -
There is almost no person on the planet who could deal with it better though. I swear, she's been "training" her entire career for that aspect. that is the funniest fucking thing posted all week All she has trained for is to line her pockets by selling herself Sure She was worth $250k for a twenty minute speech. A speech she will not release the transcripts of. I feel sorry for you Paul I will never understand a Republican accusing someone of making as much money as they can.

Yes clearly none of them provide cheap labour so legal Americans can have things cheaper.
-
Clearly they just want to round up the Christians and kill them. All part of their plan to take over Canada, as directed by the biggest Muslim of them all, the Kenyan that leads the US. I am sure Rush and Ron will be able to look up an article on breitbart or blazetv to prove this.

That seems to be working out well for North Korea. Not much difference in the distortion of world views between some one from North Carolina and North Korea. -
One of your bigger objections to Obama 8 years ago was that he didn't have any experience politically. How come you haven't voiced your concern regarding Trump's lack of political experience quite so energetically?
-
Their ilk can't differentiate between disliking what someone stands for and hatred. It really does explain a lot when you realize that. That's because you and your ilk keep wanting to legislate your beliefs to ensure your dislikes are removed from society. Or at least use a different washroom.
-
Probably just too busy calling people for money.
-
Yeah, yeah, they said the same thing about Obama. He was going to grab all your guns. None of it happened. But keep the fear alive, it is good for my stocks. Americans shooting and killing each other is a sound investment, you can't seem to stop doing it. It is making me a pretty solid penny. Thank you.

ah how you seem to delight in posting these so you can sit on your high horse and say "I told you so... look at the traumatized kid I'm using to make my point!" asshole. Not sure why this is upsetting you so much. It is simply the price you have to pay for your freedom to have a gun. You should be sending flowers to the family thanking them for paying their 2nd Amendment dues.
