  1. Probably pissed about all the bad publicity you are spewing on here, but cognisant of that fact that any publicity is good publicity.
  2. More than any of those jobs, being a scientist is a mindset. One doesn't turn it off when they go home at 5:00. So you believe that being a scientist is a mindset more so than any other profession and you use that belief as fact for your hypothesis that good scientists cannot have good faith. I am no specialist in irony. but....
  3. Provided it's not within the same person. ETA: I wonder what the state of cosmology would be if Prof. Hawking subscribed to such supernatural nonsense. http://www.space.com/20710-stephen-hawking-god-big-bang.html Bullshit. Being a scientist is a job, like being a mechanic, or a cook, or a nurse. I know many cooks who have no interest to come home and cook. I know many car mechanics who dread being asked to work on a car in their time off. They would just like to enjoy their life outside of work. Incredibly, scientists can also go home and not be a scientist in everything they do or believe in. To insinuate that every Sikh, Muslim, Hindu, Christian etc. scientist is either horrible at their job or horrible in their faith is ridiculous. It is a pretty high horse you are on.
  4. You are also missing the newspaper article reporting on the rape and listing his swim times to show what a marvelous athlete he is. His proposed community service focussed on not drinking. He didn't get more jail time because it would have a negative effect on him. Never mind that you have people serving life sentences for doing much less severe crimes.
  5. What mainstream media outlet made that part of their hourly news report? What broadcast was interrupted for that breaking news? How many nightly news organizations made that part of even their smallest of middle of the night broadcast? So you are harping on climate scientists because the mainstream media isn't reporting all their research?
  6. Not only in Florida, he did the same thing in Texas.
  7. That would suggest you as the confidence artist exploiting those in need. Except that I have nothing to gain. A con man seeks gain. You gain a sense of belonging. You have already demonstrated a strong need to belong.
  8. He didn't "dodge" the draft. He refused. And paid the price. He didn't run off to Canada. He didn't have his rich and influential daddy find him a cushy spot in the National Guard. He didn't use a college deferment (not that any of these options were really available to him). He publicly stated that he wouldn't go. And was tried, convicted, and sentenced. He appealed the conviction all the way to the Supreme Court, where it was overturned. All true. Though today we would call him a terrorist.
  9. Gender verification is significantly more involved than just indicating which gender your identify with. Further more, the gender verification process doesn't move particularly swift either. Read up on Caster Semenya as an example.
  10. It is a legacy project for a dying member of parliament. This MP is a liberal and the liberals have a majority government. The average Canadian won't even know this is taking place, nor do they particularly care one way or the other. But I agree, their time could be much better spent on trying to decide who gets to use which bathroom...
  11. Trump has redefined "true" and "false" for his supporters. Very reminiscent of Newspeak. Yep. I think the single most insane reason for supporting Trump is believing that he "Tells it like it is". Yup, nothing like voting for a trust fund billionaire to fight for the common man. It is a good thing that neither of you will be voting. Agreed, we wouldn't want to sully this spectacle with common sense.
  12. That's way too proper I Know yu rae but what ma I
  13. At that time you probably hoped the same, cause you thought you were the best ever. I was the same.
  14. And Clinton in return would call the judge a redneck hillbilly.
  15. That was several days ago. I loved the Judge's reaction. "Oh yeah? Well, I guess these files are now unsealed." (Not an actual quote. Just what was playing in my mind.) Lol. You may find it a laughing matter. I don't think it is. It is another step in the vilification of a specific group. In this step, now people who disagree with Trump are part of this group. This path only leads in one direction, well according to history anyways.
  16. Why look for an alternative? I think the greatest country ever, with the best constitution and the best form of government will get exactly the president it deserves.
  17. And so it begins...... http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/05/trump-judge-gonzalo-curiel/484790/
  18. I have a hard time seeing the Catholic Church as a cult. Scientology I can see, but not sure the Catholic Church is in that same realm. Lobbying in your own best interest is nothing new. They handling of any type of sex scandal has obviously been deplorable, atrocious, despicable and downright evil.

  20. Hopefully soon from storage mediums. In the mean time from solar, hydro, nuclear, natural gas.
  21. So that means green energy is useless, like you asserted?
  22. Rush reads report he doesn't agree with. Q. Do I agree with this report. A. No Wow, didn't I do a great job questioning this report and not just simply disregarding it. So proud of myself, I deserve a treat.
