That isn't entirely true. Though there is some interest due to perceived disposable income. The bigger driver is the mapping that comes with it. Having chargers on site makes you stand out on relevant maps, which drives traffic. Even those who aren't Model S rich will likely grab a coffee, or a subway while waiting to charge.

When you are cooped up in a house or condo for 14 days with babies and toddlers it is likely the most effective birth control.

Perspective being that with the actions you have taken so far, you will still blow by the annual flu deaths. Imagine what happens if you do nothing? These comparisons to the flu are really useless.

I have nothing against the guy at all. Good for him for building a successful business for himself. Just don't understand what CEOs of any stripe are doing at COVID press briefings. They add no value to the information and have only been there to praise Trump. I think those briefings are better used for the dissemination of important factual information.

Sure that's great. He should get credit for that. There is only one reason he got to stand on the rose garden and tell everybody to read the bible. He donated to trump and has always spoken favourably of him. It was nothing but a cheap-ass infomercial that added absolutely nothing to the national discourse regarding the fight against covid-19.

My children still have access to their teachers, though through email, phone and video conferencing. Nothing formalized yet, but lots of informal contact. Assignments etc are due. So I don't think it only falls on the parents. Or at least it shouldn't.

Not sure teaching algebra is necessarily a parental responsibility. Most parents I know, including myself, are helping their children find resources to not fall behind. part of those resources are what the education facilities are making available.

In The Netherlands it looks like 80% of those in ICU due to COVID are overweight. With a large overweight population in North America, that does not bode well.

Trump has really never given any indication that he cares about anybody but himself. His decision making seems to be completely based around: What am I getting out of this? Hard to muster up any level of care for somebody like that. The fact that a third of your population appears to heartily support that mentality, speaks about more than just Trump.
