  1. Of course it follows logically. One of the reasons used to justify the bail out of the financial industry was that it would be too devastating for the country. One of the reasons lots of bailout money is flowing now is to support the country. Currently people are arguing that people will just have to die to bailout the economy and therefor the country. It is not a non sequitur it all, it flows very logically. Even if you don't want to answer it.
  2. Isn't that the snowflake who played the victim card on twitter? Pretty sure he is.
  3. You have been very quiet about the proposed subsidizing of the oil and gas industry. What if they cannot sustain themselves on that free market?
  4. Make sure you report them, or at least maybe have them wear something identifying so it is easier for others to see! PAPIERE BITTE
  5. You don't see the difference between that sentence applying to a hobby and to grocery shopping?
  6. You may want to look up the term astroturfing.
  7. pfff, fucking right wing nut job.
  8. I am pretty much between DJL and Wendy.
  9. Skydiving is a hobby, it has absolutely zero importance. (yes I know, military applications etc)
  10. That is another pretty good indication you are not understanding the concepts and prefer to just mindlessly repeat soundbites and talking points. Maybe try thinking for a bit.
  11. I guess in the same way I can see how you are willing to sacrifice a few hundred thousand people just so your dear leader has a better chance at re-election.
  12. Not currently possible in most areas. Even where grocery delivery is normally readily available, there are significant delays. Should also note that not everybody has the ability to pay for the additional fees often required.
  13. Don't think we have any idea who patient 0 was at this point, nor whether he or she ever left China. There is no doubt there are lessons to be learned here. Some countries seem to be learning them quicker than others. All in all it would seem that those who rely on science, those who focus on what is needed now, those who lead are performing better than those who blame leaders from 3 years ago. But I guess it is more about the feels, right?
  14. Part of the reason the social distancing is in place is so that you reduce the risk in those situations where social interaction is inevitable.
  15. How have you already determined that the virus was "released"?
  16. Unless you grow all your food yourself that is simply not possible. Eventually your stomach forces you to have contact with others.
  17. There is a distinct centralized effort in these protests. No idea if Russia and China are involved, but as you point out it would be smart of them to do so. We do know that any attempt to look into that will be ridiculed by "patriots".
  18. Being confronted with facts isn't an attack. Facing the consequences of putting fantasy over science isn't an attack.
  19. Thanks for posting that article, very informative.
  20. Sad day in Nova Scotia and Canada at large. Largest mass shooting in Canadian history.
  21. And now commentary on immigration. It has nothing to do with risk, public safety or any economic reasons. It is simply because Trump needs a boogeyman and his supporters hate non-white immigrants, match made.
  22. And we are about to see the same in business. Where support for renewable energy was seen as "picking winners and losers" and not letting the open market do its thing. We will now see strong support from those same people to help oil industry. Brenthutch will disappear for a while so he doesn't have to address this.
