    This gap will continue to widen I believe, other than maybe The Netherlands, who have taken a different approach. The US is still very much on the upswing, and with the opening of the country the growth of the virus will continue. The many other countries will flatten the curve a lot more.

    It certainly isn't black and white. But your continued thought that you can bully yourself into getting what you want isn't so simple either.

    Trump on multiple occasions has indicated that the amount of testing the US has done is a great indicator of how well the US has responded to the pandemic. If your President feels that is the case, then the raw number of deaths is a valid indicator as well. So, take your issue up with Dear Leader. As it stands you are a typical Republican who cheers on the raw number of testing as an indication of how great you are, and the rate of deaths as also a great indication of well you are doing.

    It is that attitude that will get the US in trouble. The constant burning of bridges the last 3 years. You are racing to a point where you are going to need help, but it won't be on the table any more. One example: when 9/11 happened Canada helped. The story of Gander, Nfld being among the most famous. Then during COVID-19 when Canada needed help, the US ordered 3M not to deliver any PPE to Canada. It showed the true nature of the US and it isn't pretty.

    I think I have finally figured out why Republicans hate Bill Clinton and love Donald Trump. Clinton was such a pussy, he actually got consent. Trumps moves on them like a bitch and can't be bothered with consent. Republicans love a strong man like that.

    The title of the thread is pity for the USA and I must say I felt that yesterday. Turns out that storming the capitol with guns in Michigan is perfectly legal, as long as you don't bring signs. You cannot brings signs in.... How fucked up are things down there....

    Hold on, you were saying how your numbers were so good. But then simply ignore how you are at the absolute bottom of rate of testing. How do you know your numbers are so good compared to other states when you test significantly less than those states?

    Ohio is also at pretty much at the absolute bottom of testing per 1 million people. Easy to have very little infections when you simply don't test for it.

    Only if you believe the hype of "highest ever" and "lowest ever". The stock market grew more under Obama. Obama created more jobs. Your stock market was bought up by tax payer dollars. The corporate tax cuts were not used for investment into the business, they were by and large used to buy up the stock market through share buy back programs. In other words, the growth in market that Trump achieved was not actual growth in the economy. There were serious signs of a looming recession pre-covid.
