  3. It's to allow for a seat belt to be routed through the leg strap. Damnit! I was going to use it to access snacks in my pocket due to the extra air time I'm getting in a WS. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?

    Iron Man

I was actually impressed with Iron Man. Downey Jr. did a great job and the effects were amazing. Out of all the marvel movies I would say Iron Man was the best. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?

  11. Have you noticed any difference in openings with the D-bag packed that way? SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  12. "this feature is also a safety function. Should the main pin become dislodged the bag "should" require positive force from the pilot chute in order to leave the container" Thats understandable. So new question then: Why not just make the D-Bag fit tightly with the bridle facing you since thats the way the bag is extracted anyway? Just trying to figure out why the design? Who looked at the opening sequence and said, "no, rotate the D-bag 90 degrees"? Thanks for the replies. 13. This question just popped into my head. I'll do my best to explain without the aid of pictures. Canopy already in D-bag and lines are stowed. At this stage we put the D-bag in the tray, lines towards the ground and then roll the bag foward (this places the lines at the bottom of the tray and bridle at the top). My question is why do we do this? Why not keep the lines towards the ground placing the bridle looking up at you when your closing the tray. This would extract the D-bag when you pitch exactly in the position its in without having to roll it foward. Hopefully the explanation is clear. Please discuss any pro's con's to doing this and some of you might actually pack this way already. 14. I make a reservation at every dropzone I jump at.....when I manifest. If I'm expected to call ahead of time and reserve times/slots beforehand...I'm going somewhere else. Things happen and things come up. Now if I manifest and I dont make the load...I expect my ticket to be 'spent' as well (unless the fault of the DZ and not me just forgetting to show up) SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  15. WOW! I didnt expect to see such a variety of WS being flown. I actually thought everyone was flying a Blade or other brand new WS that has recently come out. Thanks for the replies.... Oh, and I fly a firebird. Pics on the way. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?

  18. Now that there are tons of WS offered and many have upgraded from mere fledglings to birds I'm wondering what everyone is flying. For those who have more than one WS, list the one you either love the most or fly the most (hopefully its the same one or your doing something wrong ) SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?

  22. Some people just dont like eating alone in public so choose to eat in solitary. I'm the same way...hell, so is my SO. If we are flying solo we get it to go and eat in privacy. Sometimes in not "being a dick" but simply not having a lunch partner at that time, or just wanting to have a nice quiet hour in a half with no BS....hair down time. Next time you see the cute girl eating alone in the cubicle ask her to lunch. She might just need a lunch date. 25. I tried hard to watch this on TV but couldnt get past the horrible speaking. How does a guy get into a position where speaking is the front runner for the job but says um um um um um about 4000 times in the first sentence...and his hand movement was killing me too. The guy knows what he's talking about but I cant hear anything past the "ums". Im not talking about the general either.
