I jumped with a guy with profly grip version....but he wasn't able to fly with me...( only 10 wingsuit jumps) I had more power and the purpose of the jump was to "push" the suit.. I thing I had the same feeling with you....I have the altimeter on my chest...and I had a slow falling...and more forward movement...when I was looking the ground..
-
I am not sure about that....because on the first 2 jumps I had only the gopro in front of my helmet (not on the top)....without any problems....
-
Why do you think that? Are you a big an not so heavy man? As I said above...I am not the right guy to post a review for ANY wingsuit..I don't have the experience to do that...also I don't have experience in different type of suits and brands... I don't have a high number of wingsuit jumps...to be able to judge a suit... To answer to your post... For me it is "huge" to past 2 minutes flight...."125 sec" My personal record with my expert after 25-30 jumps was 115 sec....so when I saw 125 sec on the second jump I was impressed. Thats why I am saying i will do 2,5 or hard three minutes after a few jumps....Maybe I'm wrong....but I have this feeling... I am not a big guy...I am 1.62 cm tall..and 68kg... But I am impressed from the performance of the suit...and i am very happy and satisfied.. The size of the suit is smaller than the "small" size of the factory...If I did over 2 minutes flight.....imagine someone with larger suit than mine...(medium-large etc)....with bigger wings-surface...am I wrong? I found the suit very easy to fly and very powerful.. At least this is my opinion... I don't want to convince anybody to buy this suit...

Ok...the "Review"....:-) I did today three jumps... The first one was a good solo jump from 13.400ft and deploy at 3.200 ft.. The first thing I noticed was...SPEED...and GLIDE-LIFT.. I had 111 sec flight.. The second one was from 13.700ft and deploy at 3.100ft.. I had 125 sec flight..! The third jump was with a friend of mine..He has a profly, grip version...I didn't have a long time of flight because "you can't" fly in full speed while jumping with others....but I noticed that the suit "ELITE" has a lot of power and performance..It is a very powerful suit.I was close enough to profly..and I had much more power to go away if I wanted to.. My previous suit was an s-fly expert....and this suit is a big step from the expert...Not hard and difficult to fly..but for sure have a lot of things to learn with it.. Now about the smile thing....I am still smiling..:-) I am very satisfied with this suit...and I believe after a few more jumps...I will reach very easy 2,5 to 3 minutes of flight... I have one question.... I had a sony cx series on top of my RAWA....and when I was looking left-right to see my friend...I had turbulence and not a stable flight..until i look forward and down again...This happened because of the more forward speed??? I did't felt this before with my expert..same setup... I suppose the forward speed was responsible for that...? That's all.. Hope this helps..

I am afraid I don't have too much experience on different wingsuit types and brands.....But I will do my best..:-)

The Power on by LCD menu seams to be available only for the PJ710 and PJ720 models. The flipped LCD solution works fine for the moment. There is no need to flipp the LCD to keep the camera on...You can pull the viewfinder out...and the camera still works even with the LCD closed...;-)

Hi I am shooting with 720 60fps.. It is very nice and smooth. You can film also on 960 but it is 4:3 Also at 1080 it is shaking....Not recommended for free fly.. Hope this helps.
-
I am using this one for my self. :-)) It is also very simple and you can install it on the rig in 1 minute. No rigger or machine. You need to make two knotes on these buggie cords. You can found it on www.lookma.de

Here is my "for Fun jumps" helmet. It is custom paint by me. Ex velocity from skydance photography. It is "dedicated" for action cameras only..:-p Finished last week..!!

I am using 2 cards class 4 and 6 for a long time...Without any problems...also with a hero2... Maybe a faulty card...(if the camera is ok...).
-
I have a cx100 and it is EIS..I believe all the cx 100-105 are EIS... I never heard about OIS...
-
Yes they shipped the suit to me 2 days before.. I don't think they have "grip version"...But if they do...I ordered the "no grip"...I want my hands free..Like the expert!.
-
I am waiting mine next week the latest...!! :-))) I don't have too much experience with other suits ,except the sfly-expert...but i will write some things once i fly with it...
-
Again I am NOT an expert...but I had one "red eye 0.3x" "liquid lens 0.5x" "raynox hd 0.5" and "century hd 0.55x". You can easy see the different if you compare these lenses!!! Especially in the corners....!and in general "away" from the center..But you can find A LOT of this conversation if you search the forum...It is not necessary to start a new one..;-)
-
Well.....I thing it is depend from the type of camera you used..I don't have any problem with my cx 100... Also you can't compare the image quality of the raynox with the liquid lens...no?

The prices change with the exchange rate, that's true but the price of a jump ticket has more to do with availability of resources like airplanes and fuel, and supply and demand in general. If you take Greece for example, before they got the Euro they had the drachma. The exchange rate was good. It was a long time ago for me now, but if my memory serves me right one USD was something like 200-250 drachmas. However jumping was very expensive. Now they've got the euro, and one USD is 0.76 EUR, but jumping is still very expensive. Not because of the exchange rate, but because of other economic factors. saxboy: your jump tickets might be expensive, but your country is beautiful.

Something "of topic"... The most expensive jump ticket is here in Greece...!!! 38-40 euros ($50-$53) from 10k and from c-182 and c-206 and another dz has 35 euros ($46) from 14k from a porter.. Just for the record...

AND here is the helmet of the camera man!!!!! There is room for one more gopro....:-)

Hello there. Yesterday received my raynox HD 3035.!! I want to film with the lens shade, but it isn't very tight on the lens..and I don't want to lose it..So I put this rubber to secure it..It is very tight right now and it is an easy and secure way.. I just wanted to share it with you.. Thanks..:-)
-
Yesterday ordered my Elite...:-)) Can't wait to see it live!
-
I test it on the ground and it is ok..A small amount of the back of the helmet only.. Thank's for you help..:-)
-
What about this setup?
-
Ok..!!!!! I understand..!! I will not jump it.. I just asked for opinions..:-)) I will find another way to do it..
-
My first thought was exactly this thing... But I can't mount the camera directly to helmet...because I am shooting my rig...It must be away from the helmet...See the picture... Also check one more setup... And you are telling me that my setup is over the reserve....? Mine is closer to the helmet..
