  1. Well, I've heard the exact opposite from people in the know at SSD. I was told that Andy did not receive any compensation for his investments. Maybe Andy or Buzz could jump on here and tell their side of the story to clear things up once and for all. I hope Andy was taken care of but from what people are telling me, it sounds as though Buzz did nothing of the sort.
  2. What bothered me about your original post was that you seem very proud that you have a concealed weapons permit. If you had your gun exposed in a visible holster, those guys would have seen it. This alone is a deterrent to harassment. The point that you and many of your supporters are missing is that I mentioned about 5 different ways that you could have avoided this situation and still been able to go about your business in that neighborhood.
  3. Wow, how many IQ points did it take for you to poetize such a bon mot retort?
  4. Yet another cavalier statement. Do you claim that charity work exempts you from danger in a bad neighborhood. Do you think these hoods cared about your good willed intentions? You could have avoided this situation and still been able to do your charity work. Use your fucking head next time.
  5. There were several bad decisions made that could have been avoided. If you are going someplace unfamiliar, use mapquest.com and print out directions. Use your cell phone if you get lost. An even better idea would be to meet your friends at a familiar location and follow them in your car. Don’t ask for directions at a place where people are drinking and getting drunk. Don’t walk back to your car alone. Ask a bouncer to escort you. I’m sure they wouldn’t have a problem with this. If you draw a gun, 5 guys can draw on you, then you are outnumbered and trapped. Then what do you do? This is how people get killed and it happens all the time. Maybe she had no choice, I wasn’t there so I can’t say what she did was wrong, I’m only suggesting alternatives that would have avoided the whole situation to begin with. UntamedDOG
  6. There are so many problems with your post, I don't know where to begin. Real smart. Even smarter. A shitty hood at night. This is no doubt where the pillars of society will be eager to help a young woman. Maybe a gas station would have been a smarter choice? If you were a guy, I would never hang out with you. Drawing a gun on someone can get you killed. You are very lucky that it worked out to your benefit. I have witnessed a person get killed doing exactly what you did outside of a bar in L.A. Drawing a gun is something you do as a last resort, not because someone sexually harasses you in a crowded parking lot. You put yourself in a very risky situation and I hope you learned your lesson. 7. What people fail to realize is that Andy chose to invest money in a business that he did not own. That was his choice. A good analogy would be someone who invests thousands of dollars to upgrade their apartment unit only to be evicted by the landlord that owns the property. A lot of people can learn from this incident. Do not invest a dime unless you own the business or property. I agree that what happened to Andy was fucked up. I remember what a shitty dropzone San Diego used to be before Andy fixed it up. I wish him luck and I hope that he makes better decisions before investing his time and money into another project. What I don’t understand is why Andy would invest money in a dropzone that he didn’t own? The lease was only 2 years! If the lease contracts were handled properly, perhaps Andy could have been compensated somehow for the money he invested. It just doesn’t make any sense. UntamedDOG
  8. So after all the denials from management, the rumors of Elsinore moving are in fact true. Someone should call the DZO out on his fibbing.
  9. Oh, I really feel sorry for you now after reading that. I too am depressed, because I’ve only slept with 400 women. These low fuck numbers never stop hurting. Dude, at least you had fun getting HIV. Some people contracted the virus through no fault of their own. Imagine what its like for them. AIDS isn’t the death sentence that it used to be either. Just take your medication like a good boy. You have lived a fast life and you are just now realizing the consequences. Skydiving is only as fun as the people you share it with. I am always trying out new DZ’s because I often grow tired of dealing with the same assholes every weekend. It keeps the sport fresh when you visit different locations. The biker gang lifestyle that you speak of sounds pretty scary. You are never free when you belong to a gang. At least skydivers aren’t killing each other over a dropzone. I know people tend to get depressed this time of year so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and just write this post off as written by someone who is feeling depressed. Dude, lighten up. 10. There are a lot of uncultured, puerile individuals that partake in this sport. Many of them lack education and worse, they don’t have the ability to lament for another individual’s misfortunes. Many experienced skydivers who have dedicated their lives to this sport suffer from a condition known as Severe Isolated Thought Process. The way they expect fellow skydivers to act in this sport is completely different than what they should expect from a 10 jump wonder who has only been in the sport for 5 minutes. Shayna was a tourist. Nothing more. It is good to hear that she wants to jump again and I feel that her sentiments make up for any negativity that has been projected due to this incident. Dropzones around the country are booming with new student business because of Shayna. We all appear even more astonishing to all our family and friends now because we skydive. UntamedDOG
  11. A few millennia, if they're lucky. Ohh, is it Costa Rica?
  12. As long as she has money, the DZO will accept her. She has 9 jumps, she has been badly injured. Why should she give a shit about a group of people she barely knew? Fear is more powerful than love. When you are that far in the red, you revert to a primal instinct. Save yourself. Integrity, love and respect are all great things as long as they are convenient. 13. Shayna, Don’t worry about the crap these folks are trying to dish out on you. I would have done exactly the same thing if I were in your shoes. The only problem is, I wouldn’t get the same kind of media coverage for my accident because I’m not a pretty blonde like you! There is nothing wrong with asking for help. Why else would welfare, unemployment and charity exist? I don’t understand why other skydivers are so angry with you. It doesn’t seem like people want to understand what it was like to almost die. They are in denial. If people are worried about having less students to teach because of this accident, I say to folks like JP to get a real job and stop being a skydiving bum. What do these clowns do all week? Skydiving instructors are a charity case in their own right. I’ve gotten to the point where I tear down those signs that say “tip your Tandem instructor”. Getting this stupid country to feel sorry for you is straight gangsta! I wish I could exploit this sport in the same manor. UntamedDOG
  14. He He! NorCal rocks. I love the jump scene up there. It seems a bit more laid back than the SoCal thing. I enjoy this because everyone in SoCal is so damn serious. I suppose Perris draws a lot of hard core jumpers. Oh, and of course, it's easy to get to 15K. They don't look for bullshit excuses.
  15. I think it’s pretty sad when a canopy manufacturer like PD doesn’t have the knowledge and resources to design a canopy at a slightly larger scale. It shows that they don’t know what they are doing. They are still fumbling with it, trying to make it work. Like a bunch of monkeys trying to operate a motor vehicle. Just get a Xfire2, they fly better anyway.
  16. I personally think what they did was totally justified. They were stuck with a low cloud cover and they live in an area with chronically shitty weather. They were sick and tired of playing by everybody’s rules and BSR’s. Why is it so bad when people decide to take matters into their own hands? They took a chance and came out on top. Good for them. That guy was way too apologetic on camera. He did not owe anyone an excuse. Keep the good footage coming guys! YOU ROCK!!
  17. You are probably right, I would get in my car and drive down the road to the nearest turbine DZ. I might give you a ride if you’re really nice to me!
  18. Yep, I live a stale, miserable life. It’s all because I can’t get to 15K. Speaking of which, has anyone thought about how we can get our planes to go to 15K? Anybody?
  19. I agree with your approach. Pretending that I enjoy being around these indigenous earth scum would be the first step. I can earn their trust and manipulate them at will. Besides, genocide is a bit outdated. Hitler tried it, but found that killing every human is like trying to kill every cockroach on the planet. There are just too many of them. Even super viruses like Ebola aren’t enough to keep this insipid population under control. Being nice? This sounds like a difficult task due to my utter hatred of the human race. I however have always enjoyed a brave challenge. Perhaps selling out my morals and ethics will be the next great challenge. UntamedDOG
  20. Could someone please explain to me why I’m so much better than everyone on this planet. I suppose this is a blessing and a curse. Superior intellect has it’s benefits. I can win almost any argument. The downside is that this gift has created an isolation away from other humans. Stupid people like to be around other stupid people. Football in the groin anyone? My predilections and observations are misunderstood and often perceived as negative when in fact I am being intellectual. Silly earthlings are so eager to be part of the herd. What they don’t realize is that the herd is most definitely aimed towards the slaughter. UntamedDOG
  21. Wow, that is terrible. I didn't realize how many people lived in the dark ages. Come to Perris and I will gladly introduce you to this new thing we have, it's called "turbine" technology.
  22. My god, you are better at this than I am! I plan on purchasing a Glock .45 semi automatic pistol.
  23. I'm not going until they redo the bathrooms.
